He's looked ****e whenever i've seen him play, but honestly i think it's just a confidence problem. Given a decent run of games i reckon he'll be decent enough.

I heard somewhere that Nani(?, possibly another Man U player) said Obertan was the fastest and most skilful player in the team, he just didn't have enough confidence in his abilities.

That sounds a bit too modest to come from Nani, who proclaims himself as one of the best in the world. Although from what I can see, the consensus among more rational Man Utd fans is that he needs confidence, a run of games, and to concentrate more in games as he can go missing.

Yeah i did think it'd be a bit weird coming from Nani!
If what the Man U fans say is true then this could turn out to be a pretty decent signing (a bit like Simmo).

He's 22 and he is good enough for our team currently I can list a few he's better than so it's progress. People need to understand where we are and just accept anyone who want's to play for us and is better than some of our squad players.

After voting 'better than nout' Ive changed my mind.

The lad has obvious skill, and with first team football, and the confidence that should give him. I do believe, we potentially have a real gem on our hands. Give the lad a chance, and then castrate him if need be.

I think that we are only going to be doing a one in/one out transfer policy this window so he is routledges replacement. He is a younger, quicker and more skilled version of routledge. If he only comes on at the end of games when opponents legs are tired im sure he will get a few assists or goals and if he does well then he should be given a run in the first team. Bringing Ranger, providing he starts scoring, and obertan on near the end of the game may just help us pick up a few more points.

Shocking signing IMO, but it's at least encouraging that we're spending.

Does this mean we have dropped our interest in Barnetta? I guess he was too expensive then!?

Maybe not, depends if Barton goes or not I suppose. Obertan is basically Routledge's replacement. Barnetta would be Joey's I imagine.

No, talks went well apparently according to his real agent. He is injured at the moment so is concentrating on getting over that first. Will only come in if Barton leaves I imagine.

That's meant to be a tribute but he just plays like I imagine Jonas would if he was drunk.

I'm happy to give the guy a chance, just have very low expectations. I remember after one pre season game this summer, he played a blinder and he was trending on twitter because loads of Man U fans thought they had finally replaced Ronaldo <laugh>

    ****ing hell we're fickle <laugh>

If we really do have a 1 in 1 out policy going then TBH i'm quite happy with how the squad looks like it'll develop. We just need to replace the driftwood with quality
