My only issue with Moss is his (in)ability to keep up with plan when there's a fast attack.

Being too far from the incidents is what can lead him to making a 'dodgy' decision

If it was a dive I would award 5 out of 10 for effort, it looked to me that he had lost his footing and had prodded the ball too far, before the defender clattered in to him completing the job, no penalty but not a yellow either in my opinion.

Not for me, he played the ball purposely with no intent of getting it and then fell into the defenders leg.

I have only seen it on the Sky replay, and it isn't that clear, even in slow motion, if it was a dive it wasn't a very convincing attempt.

What about Watfords pen. There's contact, then there's a reaction. The difference seems to be when you go down, Shane needed to wait as the player was certainly coming....sliding full on towards him out of control.

It is a common known fact that Shane Long doesn't get any decisions, so really if he was diving it would have been futile anyhow.

Yep, had that been a City or Arse player, pretty sure it would have been given. The Swansea player looked ready to complain....

He doesn't get any decisions because he's known as a diver. Not saying that's right but referees are human and that will always be in their mind. The boy who cried wolf and all that...

... and of course he never ever gets genuinely fouled, at least that is what the statistics show.

I can't remember it clearly but didn't the Watford player still have a chance to play the ball? Rather than kick it out of play and wait for the challenge.

Also I still think with Longs, there wasn't a 'reaction to contact', he was already on his way down.

No, he does not get decisions anywhere on the pitch. He gets clattered nearly every game & doesn't get the decision. And as for a reputation for diving, thats pretty unfair, there are plenty of bigger culprits out there. His biggest crime, he runs at pace with the ball while we employ crap refs! <laugh>

The debate would be on whether he was deliberately throwing himself down or whether his momentum had caused him to lose his footing, even if he was already going down, the challenge certainly made sure.

There's contact, a delay, then he goes down. Shane by the letter of the law just needed to wait for the pending contact. For me, Shanes is more of a penalty.
    Ohhhh controversial!

That's about right. Buying a penalty is a legitimate part of the game (Suarez was the expert), Shane didn't quite get it right that time. Thought the yellow card was optional, but there we go.
