That supposedly very bad player, Andros Townsend being effective again. I think his excellent form, much earlier in his career, worked out rather badly for him. It somehow put people against him, and then his form fell away as well. But he's an exciting player and I like to see exciting players show us why they are.

Oh, I think Stoke will give him time, unless they are down amongst Sunderland territory still in a couple of months.
I'm actually watching Palace v Stoke, while listening to Solent's Saints commentary, and Palace are stroking the ball round very confidently. Stoke are trying, just like a Hughes team will, but Palace are too full of confidence and are defending well when they need to.

Sunderland kit is hard on the eyes, they could be in for a big lose here with their crappy tactics of sit back and hope defoe nicks one
I'm not particularly fussed about the third side, but if Sunderland and West Ham both get relegated this season, then I for one would be very pleased.

That chart goes back to the discussion previous of shot locations. Today's match was the first time this season where we spent prolonged stretches in the opposition box; our shots were from 12 yards instead of 20. Do that with regularity and even with our poor finishing we'll cease to be nearly so energetically wasteful.
