A lot of medals missed today:

Sophie Thornhill and Helen Scott won Gold in the Women's Tandem B 3km Pursuit.
Lora Turnham and Corrine Hall won Gold in the B 3km Individual Pursuit.
Rachel Morris won Gold in the Women's Single Sculls.
Lauren Rowles and Laurence Whiteley won Gold in the Mixed Double Sculls.
Grace Clough, Daniel Brown, Pam Relph, James Fox and Oliver James won Gold in the Mixed Coxed Four.
Lauren Steadman won Silver in the Women's PT4 Paratriathlon.
Neil Fachie and Peter Mitchell won Silver in the Men's 1000m Time Trial B.
Tom Aggar has won Bronze in the Men's Single Sculls.


Don't think the medal alerts are going to be as frequent for the paras, I've been unable to watch a lot of it. I'll still be posting that full medal list at the end though as with the Olympic one (which I'll repost at the end of this thread too).

Richard Whitehead won Gold in the Men's 200m Sprint T42.
Joanna Butterfield won Gold in the Women's Club Throw F51.
Alison Patrick and Hazel Smith won Silver in the Women's PT5 Paratriathlon.
Rebecca Redfern won Silver in the Women's 100m Breaststroke SB13.
Thomas Hamer won Silver in the Men's 200m Freestyle S14.
Jessica-Jane Applegate won Silver in the Women's 200m Freestyle S14.
Sophie Thornhill and Helen Scott won Bronze in the Women's Individual Pursuit B.
Melissa Reid and Nicole Walters won Bronze in the Women's PT5 Paratriathlon.
Amy Marren won Bronze in the Women's 200m Individual Medley SM9.
David Henson won Bronze in the Men's 200m Sprint T42.
Josef Craig won Bronze in the Men's 100m Freestyle S8.
Stephanie Millward won Bronze in the Women's 100m Freestyle S8.
 
Will Bayley wins gold. He then climbs on the table, jumps down and hugs the official as she is trying to issue him a a yellow card.
 
I feel a little for David Weir.
He missed his sons birth and it just isn't going to work out for him.

I know it was his choice to go but it's got to hurt a little.
 
The Brazillian blind 200M sprinter who was the poster girl was dancing about like she was at a disco and then was DQ'd due to a false start. That is the second time she has been DQ'd (She was in the 100M as well).

Maybe she would have been better being focused instead of acting the fool.

The interesting thing was that she didn't beat the gun but was too quick?

No but she had a reaction time that isn't humanly possible. In other words the gun didn't trigger her movement and she was starting anyway.

There is no way a human can hear the gun and set off quicker than 0.1 sec. IIRC her reaction time was 0.098 sec. Sorry if those numbers are wrong but I was half asleep last night.

On a side point the best ever human reaction time recorded was over 0.101 sec and this is across lots of different situations.

Steve Bate and Adam Duggleby go again later today in the Time Trial. Should be off at 17:48. Its a 25 miles course so should take them around 50 minutes. Pretty sure its not on Channel 4, but should be live on the website if anyone is interested! :emoticon-0148-yes:
 
That's Beijing's gold total beaten with 4 days left.

Discounting NY/Stoke Mandeville (1 games in 2 cities is just odd) and Seoul which was a clusterfuck of a games (as an example some paralympians got medals in the HEATS due to the judges not understanding the rules) then this is our best Paralympic Games for gold medals.

We now need to beat the total medal count of Sydney which was 131 medals. So as I'm typing this its 37 medals in 4 days to beat it.
