Not sure what your lad's ambitions are in football but he'll be no better off at an academy than he is at the team he's chosen, From what you've said about him previously he seems to be a real talent, good luck to him.

He is very good, but also very lazy and can do what he does without pushing himself, I've tried everything to motivate but he's just too laid back. I really believe he is good enough to play as a pro and if there was more support from Swans or Cardiff then he may well have done but they are too quick to get rid and for all the wrong reasons.
just get him a few grams of charlie, cut it with some pro-plus and have him drink a few red bulls and we'll see how laid back he is

One day he'll find something he wants to do and throw himself into it, he's one of these people who can do anything but only at his own pace and if he feels like it. So he just does enough to get through his exams but can can learn to play bass off YouTube in 2 months and play an hours gig in a pub. Crazy talented kid but more interested in fun than anything else, I suppose that's good thing though.

There's a lot to be said for being laid back.
As a parent of a lad at your son's age you have to find the right balance between allowing him to be him and pushing him to achieve as much as you know he can. They actually thrive on having boundaries to push against and knowing that you care enough to have high expectations for them.
With Arsenal's well-known defensive problems, this is a fantastic opportunity to come away from Arsenal with three points. (Only won once there in all competitions in the last 15 years...)

Yeah I'm very proud of him and like his attitude to a point.
Back to the game though, I'm very optimistic and feel that they are there for the taking if we approach it in the right way. They have dangers themselves going forward though so we need to get the balance right.

Think they're worried that if every game was shown on TV then it would stop people going to the actual games. Instead of paying £40 to watch 1 game on that day (plus travel, food, drink) can spend £40 for a months worth of football
It's a totally different experience though. If you're willing to pay 40 quid, it being on tv won't stop you going.
If you're not willing to pay 40 quid it not being on tv won't make you go.
I'd suspect being on tv makes little difference to audiences. It may even help. Kinda like free streaming music services like Pandora makes people more likely to buy album. Being awash with football makes you want to be in the crowd more.

Don't disagree about it being different experience. Hadn't been to a match in quite a few years and went to 3 Brighton games last year and forget how different it is from watching on TV, such a better experience, but with costs only ever going up can understand if all LFC games were on TV, that some people may say, why would I go pay £100 to watch them 3 times this month plus X amount for a couple of kids tickets, when can pay £50 to watch the same games at home, along with any other Prem games I wanted to watch.
