The dominant team doesn't always win though - I'd take the win anyway it comes. Obviously would like us to be dominant but if we can win while playing badly, it may mean we have luck back on our side this season - and I will take that too.

Well I think or hope we are fit, and have a system and plan this year so I think we need ot be seeing that from the off.. results are results. both teams will fight of thos ebut our own performance is what we should look for.

I agree. Pre-season was a mixed bag performance wise. We can be unplayable at our best, just need Klopp's philosophy of self belief to really sink in and keep going - that will be key this season. I repeat something I've said many times that I firmly believe in 'the smart take from the strong'.

You are Greez I presume - I've been away so long I can't even remember how to do emoticons etc. so getting used to new names will take me a good while yet. Did I miss anything of any importance while I was away?

I think all match threads should also have a specific 'Sturridge fitness watch' section. I believe he deserves a separate platform to highlight his frailty

Or we just assume he's injured and only report when he's fit. Easier that way.

A much improved Lovren and the very impressive Klavan, no problems there. Matip and Sakho will fight for a place when fit.

I was impressed with Klavan too [and Mane] pre-season, Matip didn't get much of a go so can't comment on him.

    How's your lad's footie going?

Yeah - it is going to be Chambers + Monreal for the Goons I suppose for the CB.

If your CB pairing betters them - it will be better for my fantasy.

    Bellerin - Chambers - Monreal - Gibbs

Looks solid as a soggy tissue but they'll manage a clean sheet against our limp attack...

Hi! JB. He's signed for a local club for his final year before going to Uni (hopefully), Welsh Divison 1 team https://cpdtonpentreafc.wordpress.com/
They seem very professional and pay a small wage, he dind't want to mess about in an academy for his final year.

    limp attack?

I guess your attack will do ok. Your defense will be suspect.
