I would love us to be in a position to let him sit and rot in the reserves until his contract runs out. He would be in his 30's and in all probability his career would be ruined. I hate the twat, he's trying to have his cake and eat it, while trying to play the fans off against the club. He can **** off and I hope the fans abuse the horrible ****, if he plays against Man City.
If that statement is from Kone or his agent then Sunderland should announce that he is up for sale and invite bids today and look for a replacement. This looks to me like his agents are after another slice of the ££ pie and holding the club to ransom on something which may have been promised by Big Sam. The same agents should have included any pay increase on staying up within the contract he signed in January. The main people to blame here are his agents please log in to view this image Mark McKay on the right, (son of Willie McKay - centre), who is the bloke on the left? A quick search reveals: "Willie McKay, one of football’s most notorious agents, has been declared bankrupt at a hearing in Glasgow. McKay, who used to run his agency business from the multi-millionaire tax haven of Monaco and had racing stables in Yorkshire, revealed assets of just £987, while court documents detailed that he owed £713,292." Well did Sunderland not foresee this happening When we bought the centre half from Chelsea in my opinion We were always going to sell Kone As I stated. It all been a load o bollocks to hood winck the supporters We want the money. And I'm sure there is quite a few on here Not nieve unough for to no this was going to happen
Without a doubt he will be a cracking player for you mate, and I suppose that's all the matters to the 'new' club in these scenarios.
I'd leave him until the end of the transfer window, when desperation might creep in and demand will definitely be higher!!!
I have big doubts about Kone being a big player in a team pushing top 6, which is what Everton will be looking to achieve. Yeah, he's big, he's a beast. He's also clumsy on the ball and gets it caught up between his feet, he is always a liability galavanting down the field with the ball, he can also be easily spun by a quick nippy defender. I've always said this about him. He's not worth 20m.
As an out and out CB he is superb mate, Everton is about his ceiling but he will be a great fit for them.
We'll have to see how this one plays out then, I think he's going to be found wanting. Only time will tell us now. Can we agree that he's a ****er?
Absolutely mate. He can suck me clean off. My main annoyance remains with the club, the Yann saga is alongside this to show we are still making same mistakes, but if it's SAFC or a player of 4 months then there's no convo to be had.
Back of the queue bonny lad It all boils down to the same person, Mr E Short. He's quite simply the biggest penny pincher in this division.
And are probably smug happy because they have negotiated/demanded a figure higher than the club would initially offer
I don't honk any of us can argue with players looking for more money and better deals, that's life. There's the classy, behind closed doors way of handling it, and the scummy, 2 fingers at club media circus way. That's the gripe. I absolutely believe Kone was worth a new deal, and I was massively behind him until that statement was verified.
This is all very one-sided isn`t it? As usual not a murmer from the club. We don`t know what his current deal is. We don`t know what his new demands are. We don`t know who promised him what and the circumstances under which that would come into effect. For all we know it may have been a verbal agreement between Sam, the player and his agent and this the first the club have heard of it. Whatever the background it`s gone sour and I don`t see how him staying is a viable option.now. Tag £20m on top of what we paid for him (whatever that was) and tell the big boys to come and get him. See who turns up then give the money to Moyes to put to good use. iirc there was some off/on carry on when we signed him so maybe this is his party trick. For me he can **** off now and the club have nothing more to do with him or his agent.
His company might be broke but I'm pretty sure he has a fair wad stashed away in an offshore location. I had a few Nokia's and they were bloody good phones, great signal & call quality and the battery lasts a week on full charge.
