This situation for me has been totally contrived to suit the player, who assures us that will still give his all even if he doe not get a new contract which does not make a lot of sense. If he has chosen to put himself up to go to the highest payer we may still not let him go if the fee does not reach expectations but God help him if he does not pull his weight.

Pay what he wants and upset the other players so either way the club is on a loser. Give him his transfer and sit back and take the money. No player is bigger than the club.

There seems to be some "afters" on this one between Ellis and Big Sam. Really wanted Kone to stay but losing a bit respect for the lad now. His agent is taking him down the road of no return. Why did his agent get him to sign a four year contract without adding clauses for Sunderland staying up? So called promises mean nothing unless there down in black or white so to me his agent has dropped the ball. Now it's guerrilla warfare tactics trying to get the fans on his side. His agent was one of Sam's merry men. Ellis is giving a big **** you on this one. We should be asking for 30 million on the basis we would take 25. The club has Kone by the balls on his contract and he is squealing. Let him squeal. No player bigger than the club.

Can anyone tell me when Kone signed his new four year contract ?
Was it before Sam left ( which I think it was ) then why did he sign it if it wasn't the new one Sam offered him (if Sam actually did promise him one).
Why would you sign one contract if you have already been promised a better one?
To say I'm confused by this whole issue, and not to mention totally sick of it all, then if he wants away then let him go to the highest bidder and get the best deal for the club.
As some have mentioned no player is bigger than the club, we then move on.

He's on the contract he was on when he signed for us.
 
What a ****s trick to do this a day before the season starts. Could this not have waited till Monday after the game if he really is going to 'give his all'.

Why is it every single ****ing window we make a ****ing arse of it. There's never a window goes by without at least one saga, now we've got this ****e and no M'Vila to contend with, the day before we play the favourites to be champions.
 
Do any of us actually have a f*cking scooby whats happening? He's staying, he;s going, fake accounts, ITKs etc.

Ii am gonna believe absolutely sweet FA until SAFC announce it on their website or if it happens the team he signs for announces it.

Just got to get maximum value now, make sure it's an auction between Chelsea Arsenal and Everton, bids start at 25m highest bid over that wins.

Everton should be reprimanded for tapping up the player.

But have they is this ALL spin from agent/player as SAFC have come out and said nothing. I agree with Gil.
