Talking about legs, noting the gymnast who broke his leg yesterday, I believe I've read it right that another gymnast, a German called Andreas Toba badly injured his anterior cruciate ligament. That wasn't the end though. He was still to complete the pommel horse. If he didn't, the German team couldn't qualify.

"I had to do it. Otherwise we would lose points. It is the Olympics, it's only every four years.", he said.

    Bravo. <applause>

Blimey, I thought Armistead might be finished, but she's in a pretty good position.

More annoyed by Skelton's stupid voice...not a voice suitable for commentary or interviews.

GB's Ellie Downie may be out of the gymnastics after she landed on her neck during her floor routine. Were the gymnastic events in London this injury-prone?

I have a feeling some of the stuff is made like ****.

Just seen the Dutch cyclist crash going over a bump on the cycle course. Looked a real bad crash, she flipped up and then flied into a big curb. She wasn't moving.

Yeah, seemingly Nibali broke both collarbones but van Vleuten looked so much worse...

Actually, it's a great course. The rider can always ride slower.

Yes, Vleuten's crash was spectacular, though I would think she's probably ok, unless she landed badly.

Nope cyclists have complained about the bumps etc. Plus have said it gets slippery as the material can't take my much rain.

The route is great, but those gutters are lethal

Armistead came in fifth. That puncture and subsequent catch-up did for her in the end.

Racers always complain. You race to the conditions.
