Actually, fans running out is par for the course. The shot was a controlled explosion.

Despite GB being out of the medals it has been a great team effort, the best I can remember in the Olympic road race.

 

Not grabbing hold of cyclists and pulling them back.

Great Britain's Adam Peaty has just set a new world record in the men's 100m breaststroke.

His time of 57.55 was over a second ahead of everyone else in his heat.

 

Excellent Road Race race. Rio Olympics off to a great start.

 

Greg van Avermaet wins the gold, Majka gets bronze.

 

So glad Majka got a medal at least.

 

Despite the dangers, that was one of the best Road Race courses I've seen. Like a Tour in one day.

 

A French gymnast broke his leg on landing from a vault..left his foot dangling. Oooh.

Kyle and Watson through to second round in tennis. GB Women's Rugby 7s won their first 2 games v Brazil and Japan....now face Canada. Looks a good game....exciting and fast.

 

I really enjoyed the women's 7s, brilliant sport. The women's game seems to be faster and more skilful than the men's.

 

Did you watch GB v Brazil? It was awful. They couldn't put two passes together. I thought it was terrible.

GB were much better against Japan.

 

I only saw the Japan game, glad I missed the Brazil game if it was that bad!

One of the things I enjoy about the Olympics is following GB in a whole variety of sports that I'd not normally get to watch.

So far today I've watched 2 games of women's rugby sevens, just watched some table tennis, and now watching GB v Australia in the hockey.

 

And these days you realise that we're bloody good at a lot of these sports. Wasn't always the case.

 

Chalk and cheese Chilco. The Brazil game was like an advert for why women shouldn't play rugby, whereas the Japan game was very good!

 

Watched some swimming yesterday. The 21 yr old lad Peaty smashing the WR at breaststroke was very impressive.

Looking forward to track and field mainly tbh. Although the swimming, gymnastics, and boxing are always a good watch.
