Apparently the Brazil game was unlike our usual style and the GB coach gave the team a right ear bashing. Hence the improvement against Japan.

I liked the way he celebrated. Just a confident nod and not shocked by his own performance. Has probably beat the record in training a few times.

Yeah it was great, also a little thumbs up.

His interview was good as well, seems like a nice humble lad and the games pressure isn't getting to him at all.

I'd love him to beat the WR again in the final, he seems confident so I don't see why not.

I'll assume our usual style means throwing and catching... It was that bad :)

Completely different in the Japan game.

Top athlete. He was more interested in what his split time was than talking to Sharon Davies about the record.

Noticeable that some of the commentators are better geared up for the fact that some people will be watching their sports for the first time than others.

e.g. I found the gymnastics very hard to follow as I don't think they ever really explained how the scoring works, how it combines to form a team score, who has to do what etc....

Wheras the small amount of Judo I saw they were very good at explaining a sport that most people would have no clue about the intricacies of, let alone the various terms involved!

This can be the problem with having experts commentating rather than professional TV people....better to have one of each. One will be aware what ordinary viewers won't know and the other can answer the questions. Only day 1, but BBC standards do appear to have dropped, but then they don't have full control over the pictures. Hopefully, will pick up.

If Sharon Davies was interviewing me I'd probably keep forgetting what the question was...

Can't stand the blue peter girl presenting the swimming, or the cbbc bloke who is apparently everywhere. They're stuck in kids tv mode.

Dustin Brown has had to retire from the tennis injured - he was in tears :emoticon-0106-cryin I've loved this man since seeing him interviewed a few years back; he took himself around the tour in a camper van because he was determined to make tennis his life. Some of our players (James Ward, I mean you) could have learned a few things from him...

Lizzie Armistead with a puncture. Changes bike, but way back. Loads of distance to go though. No bother.

Just gave her teammate Niki Harris what for when she caught her. Boardman called that.

Helen Skelton sent Twitter mad overnight apparently, for her choice of dress.

Don't mind the other CBBC guy - his reports have just been way too over-played as gap fillers so far

Yeah I thought she was showing a lot of leg, nothing to create a fuss over though.
