I wouldn't mind being second best if they were offering me £1m a year.Well I hope plan A (Coleman) comes off, if not, I can see plan B (Zola) telling the Allams to piss off after watching them pursue Coleman so desperately, unless he doesn't mind being second best as far as the Allams are concerned.
He has so I hope Phelan gets the job or Martinez gets his demands met. Been around a long time shadowed the second greatest ever manager to walk the planet and by all accounts was pretty much in full control at Manchester in his later years there.
Coleman, Zola and whoever else are just very meh.
Who do you rate higher Hatty?
Alex Ferguson was a **** but the best manager ever.
That appears likely. The bloke who told me that he had met with Hull twice last week (which appears to have been correct) told me when I saw him on Saturday that he was still going to take it, but the fact that you've seemingly moved on with the search since, would suggest that something went pear. It'll be interesting to hear what that was tbh. His claim against Everton is still ongoing, so maybe that had something to do with it???I suspect Martinez has turned it down.

The **** him.
I know he'll see an immediate increase in wages and his stock's high but if he holds on and does well at the WC, he could get a bigger move!COLEMAN LATEST
Sky sources: Chris Coleman remains interested in talking to Hull about their managerial vacancy.
We reported on Tuesday that the Football Association of Wales had rejected an approach from the Tigers to speak to the man who guided his country to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
