One reason: we are in another ****ing selling spree and I bet a few of the guys are hoping for a big name manager and his awesome assistant to make them feel they are at the right club. That aint happening.
Yeah, I don't get that. Sold one with 12 months left on his deal who tried to force his way out. Sold another for near-on £40m after he and his agent tried to manufacture a move last season. It's crazy money. Two players. £49.5m.
Iam drunk and off to bed, but some of you claiming this is ipa good signing would be laughing if this combo was off to someone else. There is no "black box" for managers. They chose the lowest maintenance, cheapest manager who happened to be unemployed right now, we didn't take the Latvian second division coach tearing up the rule book. We didn't take the Armenian no one jas heard of but who turns **** to gold. We chose an unemployed Frenchman who doesn't mind us selling all,the good players.
I don't get much of the forum this evening. Has Artur had one of his famed parties, but didn't invite me!?
The managers french.......oh I know, lets get Eric in as coach, he speaks french & scored a goal in 1982!
I wouldn't worry about the players. Players want the new manager to be a success and provide good leadership...unlike some fans, they will give him a chance. Much as I would rather not quote a certain Dutchman, he said players play for the club and not for the manager.
Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sure players are that fussed on an assistant manager, or even just a regular coach. Manager yes, but Puel isn't exactly a nobody who hasn't achieved anything over his career...
And that's exactly what's happened, and exactly the board's rationale? I would strongly disagree if you believe that to be the case.
Will be interesting to see how much leeway he gets. His year-to-year results have been highly variable, both good and bad, but French teams are a little less eager to push the red button than their compatriots in Spain and Italy. If this is a long-term project with a youth focus, as has been suggested, the board had better be prepared to exercise caution if we find ourselves further down the table.

Cool. Positivity is great but as baseless as our negativity - yet you get off on some ridiculous high ground. This is a signing no one in the Premier League, including Watford, is jealous off. maybe we're too clever for everyone else. Maybe not.
I mean you honestly believe that a board with a very well known reputation for meticulous planning would come to a rush decision like that. You've been watching a very different Saints to me the past few years.
