I have said this before but the racist argument is a bit of a smokescreen as some people refuse to accept that a large percentage of the population believes the current rate of rise in population (500,000 p.a.) is unsustainable which has nothing to do with colour of skin or faith of the immigrants. I voted remain but know many well educated people who voted leave and they sure as hell are not racist I'm bored with this now as it is just going round in circles
I'm not trying to be insulting, and I hope you're right, but I'm afraid you might be being a little complacent, not to mention self-centred. Are you immune in some way to the effects of recession, and even so, do you not have any interest in anything that doesn't directly affect you?
Boris Bikes for the Nation! Instead of HS2 all cars will be abandoned and we will manufacture bicycles!
That's exactly the kind of statement that permits fascism, just go with the rising tide and let it drown us until anybody who speaks out gets forced against a wall and shot, history is cyclical in nature. Aren't we in leaving the EU completely forgetting one of the initial urgent premises upon which it was founded after the second world war, to stabilise the continent in a time of crisis and prevent any totalitarian nationalism from ever rising again. We're swiftly succumbing to a dangerous rhetoric in this country, which is both ironic and sad given the pivotal role the UK has had since the mid-1940s in various territories at ending dictatorships, the Balkans for example Not denying their right to vote at all, it's democracy in action of course, but the cauldron and conditions have been created by successive, cynical governments to drive people towards extreme, almost sectarian points of view
Ok, I won't keep you. Just one thing, is the figure you quoted immigrants, or migrant workers? They're two different things and I don't know where you got your figures from.

the figure is the official figures for rise in population which includes immigration - you have to remember there has also been a baby boom in the last decade which is now tailing off http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36605899
That still doesn't say if it includes migrant workers - who usually bugger off again after a bit. I might look into it out of interest, but I haven't time now. I still don't think that our exit will have as much an effect on that as is being touted. Part of the problem is people living longer. We should get rid of all old peo.... ....Oh, hang on.
Are you dense? She's gone from being really keen about the company to being nervous about joining a start-up in the space of 24 hours, BECAUSE of Brexit.
