So he's now saying that fulfilling the third year of his contract "was not possible" after having said, no fewer than 5 times, I believe, that he would see out his final year. Any way you look at it, he comes across as a liar. Now, run along.
A Koeman statement has about as much validity as a Neil Ashton or Martin Samuel article about Saints has.
I was trying to quote Baines pointing to the guy in the shirt with the number 3 on the sleeve, but, being a bloke, I fecked it up.
The man with the real information, will be the agent Koeman sacked. Would an agent, who knew his client had been told "extend your contract or go", really tell Everton that his client wouldn't be joining them, unless his client had told him he was happy to extend and stay? If we had forced Koeman out, would we be receiving compo, if reports are correct? Come on DTLW. Track this man down and get the real story.
I've posted on one thread, the one about Koeman i.e. this one. It's a multi club forum you beauts. Same as your lads have posted on the thread on the Everton page, it's what the entire idea is. Anyway, I'm beyond bored of the techy bullshit I've taken on here so **** the lot of you, miserable set of ****s
And with that Tobes leaves us. Thanks, it's been fun, but I think we can make it on our own from now on. Cheers
Agent 1 admitted he was on good terms with Les Reed and spoke to him about 3 times a week (as he would if he had a harem of players and coaches). RK obviously felt that he wasn't acting in his best interests...perhaps he was more interested in getting FDB in a job, but he must have thought that Ron was settled where he was or he wouldn't have cared whether FDB or Koeman got the Everton job. But if Ron is correct, he was willing to see out his contract (fits in with what he said previously)....reflects well on him, but hardly suggests he was dying to go to Everton. It does suggest that in the long term he fancies Everton more than Saints prospects, but he would have liked to stay here for one more year, then get the job he really wanted. This could all work out best for us....would have liked to see Ron in action in the Europa League next season, but perhaps we need someone closer to our future plans.
He and his type will be back sadly, as an expert in schadenfreude I knows another when I see one. I would really like this thread deaded myself, gives the second club in Liverpool and a fibber too much importance.
Frankly, I'm bored stiff examining every last fragment of the LD's imprecise English to establish who was at fault, when and where. It's only our interpretation of his side of the dealings, and Saints will be saying nothing. Honestly, there are more important things than wrangling the last drop of bile out of the last 4 weeks. Time to look forward.
