Ah, first sight of English officials.

 

Interesting thing about the German National Anthem. Since when you-know-who was defeated over 70 years ago, they've started from the third verse.

 

Just had a look at my predictions on BBC's Euro thingy. I've got 90 points prior to the German v Ukraine match. Quite pleased with that.

 

Only found out this year that they'd dropped the Uber Alles bit.

 

Ozil's eyes give me the creeps.

I'm looking forward to Belgium v Italy tomorrow night. Annoyingly, it clashes with Game of Thrones.

 

Belgium are primed to have a really good tournament, after the Germans, they'd be my tip. Didn't get them in the work sweepstake unfortunately!

So here's a question......tonight Northern Ireland's national anthem was "God save the queen" so if England's and Northern Ireland's paths crossed.......would they do the national anthem twice? Or just the once?

 

I would think just the once.

 

Twice, Scotland still need to boo us.

 

They dropped it after WWII but I think they revived it for a short while, because I'm about 50% sure [that's iffy, I know] that I heard it sung during a football tournament some when like the 70s or 80s.

 

Germany look fantastic at times in this match. Lovely passing football.

 

They do, but their keeper has kept them in front. Made a couple of very decent saves. Again, great match.
