We've hardly played with two strikers all season. This season is a better indication of his plans than the previous two, where he used a totally different formation which this season he finally realised was a bag of ****e which was blunting our attack due to lack of numbers in the final third giving us a complete inability to string more than two passes together which weren't just between the back 5 and abolished the pile of crap.
I suspect that Bruce may revert to 3-5-2 next season for large parts, he's said this season that it's not been used as it's ineffective when teams only play 1 up top against us. Next year with teams more inclined to attack us it could lead to a revision of tactics. we have the players to fit 3-5-2 for all but up top, but if that is the desired tactic he'll want further strengthening in cm and cb too.
Please Please Please have two threads. One for general discussion, and one just with links and direct comments to links about possible transfers. I know I don't really post, but we are on 22 pages with just one possible link about a goalie, and our retained list.
If all you want to know is what's actually happened, then just look at the first post, it's updated when anything happens.
Well don't say it then. You really don't know much about anything do you. ? I am not wrong you are. I would be amazed IF you could come up with someone better than Tom Huddlestone who we could get. But feel free to try...... ^^^^^^ You need to read again what I posted. I never blamed Brady for our relegation.
^^^^^ this. Yes I agree. Elmo, Hudds and Jak to stay hopefully with ONL:Y Aluko and Taylor released of the main squad players. So much better than last summer. Hiopefully both Josh Tymon and Brian Lenihan will become proper first team squad members and understudy Robbo and Odubajo. Tymon and Lenihan imo should get all our cup games now. Staying in the PL has to be the top priority for season 2016/17.
You said he wasn't good enough and highlighted that he'd got back to back relegations. How is that not implying that he got relegated due to not being good enough?
I never said he was not good enough for starters. Brady for the past 2 seasons has been with clubs who did not have PL strikers good enough to score enough goals. Brady has had back to back relegations on his CV just like Fer and Caulker. FACT. +++++++ As for INS..... If there is any truth to the Will Mannion rumour he is one for the future and a better prospect than Bentley @ Southend. Sign him and loan him back to AFC Wimbledon for next season at least.
"I dont know why people are obsessed with doing this. Brady would be a bad signing cos a) he'd stunt Robertson's development and b) he's not good enough." Then you said agreed which implies you didn't think he was good enough
No it does not. However, it would get in the way of Robbo who IMO is a much better player and prospect. Brady has his chance now to put himself in the shop window during the Euro's. Rumours last season had it that Southampton were wanting him. I would be surprised to see Brady stay @ Norwich City mind.
Do you, or anyone else for that matter, know whether this lad is any relation to the Wilf Mannion of "Boro and City fame ? England too.
For For the record, I'm not calling into question his ability as a footballer, I think he's very talented and a very good midfielder. But with the money we're getting and the attraction we have as a Premier League club, are you seriously suggesting we couldn't sign a better central midfielder? Also, your responses are a bit lame. "Im not wrong, you are." Oh well done. That sure put me in my place. I could sit here and give you a long list of players who would be more effective in our Premier League side than Huddlestone, but I'm 99% sure whoever I mention you'll either never have heard of or just say they aren't as good anyway, so it's a bit moot. Maybe I'll give you one example. I'd have a go for Jack Cork at Swansea, still pretty young and plenty of talent and experience in the Premier League. Only cost Swansea about £3m. However he's more of an upgrade on Meyler than Huddlestone (somebody might want to check that, I'm pretty sure he's a defensive midfielder and not a solid passer of the ball like Thudd is).
