You're a wise, wise woman, Fran...I will make a prediction: we will sell players and we will buy players in the next window. And a few of our present squad may even stay.![]()
At least until I read newsnowYou're a wise, wise woman, Fran...

Err... excuse me but I wasn't confident at all. I may be fairly positive amongst a crowd of wrist slitters, but the only prediction I've actually got totally wrong was that I expected Cortese to stay, or buy out Saints. And several got that one wrong as well.

I think a lot of us at the time didn't believe they'd all leave. Lallana because he had sworn undying devotion, Lovren because he'd only just got here, and Shaw and Chambers were just breaking through. We knew that Cortese seemed to be willing to let Lambert go...which few could understand. What we didn't know was that Cortese was at risk himself (I'd love to know what that was all about....the night of the long knives)....what goes around, comes around I'd guess. He needed friends and didn't have any.Well unless I have an incredibly bad memory I seem to recall that you were saying when the rumours of Shaw/Chambers/Lallana/Lovren/Lambert leaving were coming out that it was media trying to derail the good work we had done, they wouldn't want to leave, Cortese would just flat out refuse to sell.
I don't really want to get into a big conversation about this, I was just pointing out to Latviandream that your usual stance when dealing with rumours is to not believe them and look at things positively.

Agree Beefy and I don't think anyone on the forum would criticise the club for that as long as the funds are reinvested quickly in the transfer market.Yep. If a big bid comes in he is gone. It's as simple as that.
Arsenal fans are probably as well informed as Saints fans.Heard from an Arsenal supporting ST holder friend of mine, that they are trying to do a swap deal with Ox and money for Mane.

In reality, do player swap deals ever actually happen?
Wanyama will go if a decent offer comes in (nearly 100% certain). Mane we should try and keep even if we have to insist (40% chance we'll keep him). Think we should try and extend Pelle's stay....not easy to get a striker like him, contrary to opinion (50:50 would be my guess).
