Dennis Irwin? It looked more like Adam Lowthorpe to me, ex City, mates with Deano and Schteve, ERCFA man. Could be wrong.
Bruce, in my book, is too happy to rely on the chequebook to solve his problems, rather than coach or develop a team. Fair play to City for attempting to develop a youth set-up, but from what I gather there is little evidence of Bruce placing any real trust in it, or even in the likes of Hayden, even when more senior players are failing. Time for a new approach, as long as means keeping Tony Pennock in there.
Do you think a youth set up magically appears? Its Steve Bruce who's set it all up with the Allams support. Like it or not.
I never said anything was ridiculous. Can you give me a good reason as to why you think me prefering Holloway is ridiculous?
No, but having spoken to some people close to the current youth set-up (and no, I won't name names) there are some that feel that Bruce doesn't have as much faith or interest in it as he could. Now, to be honest, living down south, I don't actually get to see the youth teams in action, and for all I know, there may not be anyone of any worth in there, but I hear nothing but good things about Pennock so I would say he's the one who has set it all up, and he is also the one driving the development of the likes of Max Clark, who has been sat around the club for years without really being pushed, promoted or put out on loan. For interest, and as a bit of an aside, apparently Conor Townsend is already being scouted by higher league clubs.
Please get rid of that indulgent signature bollocks that craps up every thread. I don't want to see a picture of some men and a guitar repeatedly. It's sad.
With the Allams running the club its going to be hard to get anyone coming in. Cant see them wanting to spend much on players anymore .
Monk merely took over from the great squad Laudrup had built - he'd been at the club as a player for 10 years, so was highly respected by the team and it's fans - so even with no experience as a manager he was able to get enough wins to keep them up in his first half-season. Second season the gloss had worn off and he was sacked by Christmas. Sherwood at least gets the best out of youngsters, and could use his Spurs contacts to bring in some of their youngsters/fringe players. Mick McCarthy has done a great job at Ipswich with no money and a team of rejects, as has Gary Rowett at Brum.
Get Theodore Whitmore in he'd be a much better choice than that ginger dick or that body warmer wearing ****.....plus they'll probably go to a bigger club like Brentford or Blackpool.
Pennock isn't liked by everyone. Lots of local talent still been ignored and poached by other clubs, anecdotal source.
I'm not keen on Sherwood, simply for the fact he's done worse than what SB did, with pretty much the same strategy, spend money & **** it up! I think SB will go & I don't fancy us to go up, I hope we do though, whether he'll still be here if we do is a different matter. Having said that about Sherwood, if he came here I'd back him 100% like I have SB, until he looks out of his depth, I think the last time I lost faith in a manager quickly was Parkinson. IF a new manager is needed I'd like to see Rowett in. Seems to have a good idea about attitude to games when I hear his interviews or read them. One of the main things he's said recently was the other week when they drew & apparently bollocked his players because the fans still pay their money. Having said that I don't know much about how they play. I don't think if he had success with us I'd be too bothered though! Same with whoever came in TBH, at the end of the day it's all about Hull City!
Agree with this 100%. When it came to doing his own thing rather than a continuation, he was found wanting. We dont want a continuation.
