Its all easy to say afterwards. Jelavic was coming back from a World Cup and struggled for fitness. Hudd was about two stone overweight.
Rosenior is/was the greatest player ever. same for Mcshane. Long had gone and we didnt have any other forward. Boyds better than Diame apparently and Brady went for 8 million.
Again we lost cos of a mental **** up from Greegsy. No more no less.

That's the Bruce way of thinking. I think the big fat 0 we scored played a pretty big part.

I remember that when Jelavic and Ince came on we suddenly looked miles better than them but it was too late. At that point Ince was first choice and being rested for the league games. Then by the time a game for him to start in came around he'd dropped down the pecking order without playing.

I can't believe we're going over lokeren away!! At least wait for us to lose @ hudds before anyone thinks about changing their votes! What we say or think is irrelevant! The Allams won't be taking much notice of what we think! if we're still in the same league next season I think he'll fall on his sword and your wishes will be granted!

I think your recollection of Ince is a bit misty eyed PLT.
jelavic got injured soon after. That team was more than adequate to beat Lokeren.
Whoever doesnt play should have it seems.

the thread is called Bruce out to be fair so its not always as simple as whether we get promoted this season or not, people have lots of different reasons why they might want to see him go or not be too bothered if he did.
hes our most successful manager of all time yet I personally feel very indifferent towards him, largely because of that night but also things like his reaction the Arsenal draw.
we just got a great result and he spent the next 2 hours whingeing on TV about having to play another game, pissed me right off that did.

Agreed.
I just dont understand what the point is of people coming on here and writing Bruce is **** he s a fat **** and gotta go etc. We arent going to sack him with a few games to go. The only thing to do is support the team now.

But i have. I moved on bought another season pass and support the team. While you're sitting and sulking cos your European dream was taken from you, so decided not to go to anymore home games. Sad.

That's got absolutely nothing to do with it, I've never not gone to games for footballing reasons and if you're belittling my decision to boycott our home games after our owner threatened to change the club name, then frankly its a disgrace.

Agreed.

Who isnt supporting the team and who is calling him a fat ****?

That's the only thing you can think of to be pissed off with him for? You're verging on the Bruce IN catagory :emoticon-0148-yes:

I sort of agree but all managers say that nowadays. Its one of the reasons most fans are disillusioned with the game. Fergie and Wenger used to say it and they had the biggest and best squads.
I hat all this big squad bollocks. Didnt Liverpool win the league with about 14 players and that was playing 60 odd games and winning the European Cup.
All these different back room teams have to monitor stuff to keep themself in work. Big Ron used to say they didnt have metatrasal injuries and all these other fancy ailments before. It was just a bloke with a sponge.

We none of us know who is going to be successful and why. What sparked the turnaround at Leicester for instance? Was it the backroom boys or the manager? Was it NP or Claudio that finally made the changes that made the difference? Does the owner work with the coaching and management team to learn about the game or take a back seat? Do they trust one another? Applying that to City; is the problem with building a successful team one that starts at the top? What needs to change to get the wheels firmly fastened back on, and will we ever really know the truth about what goes on behind closed doors?
Successful recruitment probably was the main reason. Just compare it to to City's efforts.
