Music tastes..

Discussion in 'Sunderland' started by JoRvIk-ViNeGaR-jOe, Jan 28, 2011.

  1. Now then lads..

A night off tonight, little ones at grans and a music through the Sennheisers. Listening to one of my favorite ever bands 'Mountain' from the 70's, an album called 'Live, The Road goes ever On', Leslie West, Felix Pappalardi, Corky Laing, Steve Knight were the band members, anyone remember them? Jack Bruce from Cream teamed up with Leslie West and Corky Laing in the mid 70's to form a band but these boys Mountain will blow your ****in socks off..

  5. I probaly have everything Floyd have ever done. Umma Gumma my favorite, echoes ever favorite track. You need to check Mountain out though. Seen Zep 4 times, very good but I thought the late Steve Marriott (Humble Pie) was a better singer than plant.

Dare i say it on a football forum.... yeah i will.

I think my love for Sunderland football club is fairly obvious, but the first love of my life is house music.

I know you older lads probably think it's just noise, and that's fine i've heard it all before off me dad, but there was a song 'shine on' by degrees of motion, 1989, and as a 10 year old, it's my first memory of hearing something and feeling that 'whoosh', when you really love something.

It's lived with me ever since, and is a massive part of my life, i rarely will be sat without a set of headphones on, indeed, i have as we speak!

I do appreciate bands, old and new, i'd say i'm a music lover, to the highest degree.

For the younger amongst you, www.mixcloud.com search scotty3680, for house music mixes by my good self, there's only a couple up at the minute, but i have a website launching soon ;)

    Soz for the self PR!

Fave band has always been Black Sabbath, but love most good music. If I ruled the world boybands would be strung up by their goolies and Simon Cowell and Simon Fuller would be dissolved in acid. I'd let girlbands off with a ban from wearing clothes.

I admire the fact that you loved your dads music and ditto. I know the music I listened to made a big inpact on my older kids lives as did their music on me. In a word it kept me street wise and it kept them a wealth of knowledge..
