They didn't like Brownies brown shoes and pink jumper. A hanging offence on par with 'Boring, boring Nigel's' press interviews.

I haven't taken anything you've said seriously since you said Tony Booth had the record number of boxing wins.

Clown shoe.

We never score from corners, in fact most corners are piss poor, never beat the 1st defender & get headed straight back out. Apart from the Clucas goal against MK Dons we never score from direct or indirect free kicks/set pieces. We never put a pin point cross in from either wing for Hernandez to head in even though he is a fine header of the ball. Once again you have to ask what do these players do every day in training ? How hard is it to practice corners ? To practice set pieces. To practice crossing with accuracy ? A decent manager would have sorted this out months ago but Bruce just carries on saying "your only as good as your strikers" & then plays 1 striker & gives him bugger all decent service. Whatever division we are in next season Bruce/Phelan have to go & a new manager with a new philosophy on how the game is played with new training methods has to come in. Bruce is a decent bloke but he's a dinosaur tactically & technically. It's time for Hull City to move on to the next level & start playing a more attractive attacking style of football.

Add "throw ins" to this also, do my head in, we may aswell save time and give the ball to the opposition, it goes straight to them anyway, no movement, we just wait for the ball to come to players. How easy and least strenuous training to practice throw ins, corners, set pieces. I can't remember the last creative set piece routine/corner from City.

Also regards Phelan, does anyone know what he actually brings to the team? This puzzles me. I thought initially he would bring fresh ideas and challenge Bruce, not just a "yes man", but apart from seeing him shouting at a few players during a match now and again, I don't see anything different, just the same stale, out of ideas, play.

No, but since that defeat he's changed tactics and altered his team. We've just played the same players in the same formation. They're now pissing it and we're out of form and very unlikely to get automatic promotion.

They've spent nothing near as much as we have on their squad, they've just got a better manager who can get the best out of the players he has.

We haven't played the same players. Bruce has chopped and changed too much. He doesn't know his best team.

I agree, in fact we have had 2 or 3 years of poor corners. Bring Andy Dawson onto the coaching staff and he could show them taking corners as well as scoring direct from free kicks near the box.

Link ?
Tony Booth has had, or did have, a record number of professional bouts.
Listen more carefully next time numbskull.

It was for pushing counterfeit money.
I like the bloke.
Proper Hull.
I think he has had more professional boxing matches then anyone else.

I remember him being famous for something like most professional fights. In fact he holds the record for most professional wins. So I was wrong on that one, I do know he is one of Hull's unsung sporting hero's.
I was also wrong about the counterfeit money, he received seven years for being involved in cocaine.

From memory I already know that Archie Moore has had more fights than him, more wins them him and wouldnt suprise me if he had more KO wins that Tony Booth had fights. Nevermind the countless others I could find if i could be arsed.

Numbskull.

You can be arsed to trawl back several months though to prove a point. To55er.

10 laughing faces? wowza.

I'd maybe give it 1 or 2 but 10? Don't milk it.

The "Old *****ose" Archie Moore had 220 Pro Fights the 'official record is held by a bloke from Leicester called Len Wickwar who had 465 (some say 470) fights.
It is rumoured that an aboriginal 'tent fighter' had over 2,000 but there is nothing official. There is also a fighter known as 'Abe the Newsboy' is said to have had over 1,000 fights but again subject to scrutiny.
Maybe Bruce is going in for Boxing Promotion. (20 laughing heads)

Interesting. It's hard to imagine someone having that many fights and still being able to function on a day to day basis.
