I'm not too sure most of them are actually realistic.

We said the same thing about Bruce when he joined, it didn't seem like a realistic option but it happened anyway.

Loads of unrealistic things have happened in the last 12 or so years. Premier league, FA cup final and even Europe. It's one of the few things that makes football palatable for me.

We didn't score against Middlesbrough (goals conceded 23), Brighton (goals conceded 35), Sheffield Wednesday (goals conceded 36) and Birmingham City (goals conceded 35). I would say that says more about the quality of their defence than our attack.

We will be playing Derby (goals conceded 35), Bristol City (goals conceded 58), Wolves (goals conceded 51), Leeds United goals conceded 45), Brentford (goals conceded 59), you get the picture.

I expect us to score goals against the teams we'll play because of quality of their defence. If we score first we'll win, if we don't we won't.

Leeds and Derby already beat us so they might not be too afraid of us

No team will fear us at the moment, what is there to be scared of? Our intimidating atmosphere or our dynamic attacking footballing style?

Rowett has done well on limited funds but I am not sure the owners will want to poach from someonelse and it may cost. If there is to be a vacancy, I think they will seek someone who is currently jobless.

Did we expect success in the Europa league? I didn't.

Although you could say just getting there for the first time in our history was a success.

Resting some of our key players is exactly what I would have done too.

Whether we like it or not(and i don't) the Premiere league is every clubs priority, because failing to stay there threatens the very existence of some clubs and we were/are in that bracket.

Some on here were dreaming of Champions league qualification ffs <laugh>-

    That's really unfair Sterling!
Our lack of atmosphere is just people being frustrated and demanding sexy football. They've paid their money and expect entertainment.
That or they don't like the manager's formation.

Which is one up from when Nigel Pearson was our manager. They didn't like his press interviews.

Reminds me of Phil Brown, the hapless manager who took us up in 2008 for the first time thanks only to Big Sam.
Drawing 0-0 at half-time v Coventry, we eventually won thanks to Caleb Folan, only after we were booed off the pitch at the interval to chants of 'Browny, Browny, sort it out".

These people know their football you know.

They didn't like Brownies brown shoes and pink jumper. A hanging offence on par with 'Boring, boring Nigel's' press interviews.

The joys of having a former defender as manager !!

I would like 2 things from this season.....Automatic promotion (but on current form unlikely) & after promotion Bruce to leave before he proves once again that the Premiership is a league too far for him as manager

As per rEhab in paper today:

"We believe in the squad and have the best manager in the league. We have a fantastic squad with experience, many of the players were with us last time we got promoted.
"Football is a low scoring game so the results don't often reflect the performances, but we get independently verified data
please log in to view this image
which shows we've been the top performing club in the league since November, according to the statistics."

I wonder what data this is and how much we are paying for it?
Ultimately there is only stat that matters - the league table.

He makes himself look foolish with these comments.

    Peter Swan in paper today:

"I accept that it's a two-way street where players have to get supporters out of their seats but there's got to be patience along the way.
I've said it before but I still believe a lot of supporters have unrealistic expectations when they turn up to the KC. They think any visitor can be easily brushed aside and when it doesn't happen they're the ones who get on the players' backs.
You can argue that supporters pay their money and are, therefore, entitled to react however they like, but jeering your own players cannot possibly help. I've been there as a player and it's never nice to hear. It's human nature for your head to drop.
If we're all going to be celebrating a promotion on May 7 it has to be a collective effort from everyone connected with the club. There's going to be highs and lows over the next nine games but it's vital that everyone connected with Hull City sticks together.
The KC Stadium has to be a place where the players enjoy playing again, not one where they're afraid of making a mistake. And that's why all supporters have such a big part to play."

Ehab surprisingly makes some relevant points there. Football being a low scoring game does mean that one mistake or moment of brilliance can win or lose a match and the better team lose. It happens a lot. Our results have been no coincidence though. There has been some bad luck but the big thing as we know is a lack of talent up front. Our passing and running stats may well be great but this is why Bruce says you're only as good as your strikers. If they're not good enough, the stats mean nothing.

We never score from corners, in fact most corners are piss poor, never beat the 1st defender & get headed straight back out. Apart from the Clucas goal against MK Dons we never score from direct or indirect free kicks/set pieces. We never put a pin point cross in from either wing for Hernandez to head in even though he is a fine header of the ball. Once again you have to ask what do these players do every day in training ? How hard is it to practice corners ? To practice set pieces. To practice crossing with accuracy ? A decent manager would have sorted this out months ago but Bruce just carries on saying "your only as good as your strikers" & then plays 1 striker & gives him bugger all decent service. Whatever division we are in next season Bruce/Phelan have to go & a new manager with a new philosophy on how the game is played with new training methods has to come in. Bruce is a decent bloke but he's a dinosaur tactically & technically. It's time for Hull City to move on to the next level & start playing a more attractive attacking style of football.
