    He didn't ban them.

He looked into the legality of banning them and was going to attempt to stop Sky entering the ground. However, he was advised not to and common sense prevailed. In fact, had he banned them, the game could still have easily been televised with the pundits in a studio at Sky HQ and the commentary done off-tube. This was actually one of the reasons he didn't ban them - he realised it could be televised regardless. The fine/point deduction were other factors.

That's actually a brilliant idea. It would force clubs to lower prices or put decent offers together, or even to the delight of TigerFiley, to give tickets away to kids to make sure the ground was fuller.

Obviously you're going to jump on deciding he means clubs should be able to charge more, even though he's not saying that. He's right, the 30 quid thing is utter bollocks. I can't believe anyone would defend it tbh.

<laugh> The bloke who made pass/ticket prices so high that we have a third of our ground empty, think clubs should be fined for not filling their grounds?

That is ****ing brilliant, absolutely ****ing brilliant.

You think it's a terrible idea?

He's clearly able to move on, and make changes, I know you're an old git but you should try it too fella.

The fact he's said that obviously shows that they know with hindsight they got it wrong this season.

I don't know why you'd criticise him for suggesting it though, surely it would only be a good thing for us if it went ahead, it would almost certainly bring our prices down.

It's a great idea, the next time an owner comes up with a ridiculous idea and the fans boycott, the owner would get fined.

The bit I quoted was the bit I was criticising, he obviously has nothing but contempt for the fans, the interview was ill-advised and all it's really done is reminded everyone that he's a bit of a twat.

Excellent. See? You can do it.

He's had a good idea, after realising past errors, and you recognise that without being a twat about it.

Pulling one line of an interview where Ehab once again makes a twat of himself is a nice attempt at diversion, but I'm afraid it won't wash.

That particular idea also falls down on the fact that there's only two teams that are not currently achieving over 90% capacity, one is Villa (for obvious reasons) and the other is Sunderland (and it would be utterly ridiculous to fine a club with a 42,000 average attendance, in a city the size of Sunderland, for not filling their ground).

“Because of this, we were voted the best away stadium in the Premier League last season. We were also top of the Trip Advisor ratings for best stadium to visit in the Premier League.”

Because people generally pick their away games based on Trip Advisor ratings.

If he'd actually looked at Trip Advisor when we came top of that list, he'd have seen that the reviews were almost all from City and FC fans anyway. <doh>

I could well imagine he has contempt for some supporters, but to say it's all is stretching it to say the least.

I'd guess the ones he ignores would tend to be those that just criticise and abuse them no matter what they do or don't do. Let's face it, there are few that don't have likes and dislikes for some groups of our fans. He'd be unusual if he didn't.

    This guy.

It's like he deliberately tries to think of the daftest things to say.

He claims away support isn't affected by prices so much as the experience and facilities. Sure it is Ehab. Then the next thing he says is that this move will see a boom in demand for away tickets. Make your mind up you daft sod.

Then trying to make Liverpool fans seem like bad guys for boycotting his exorbitantly priced tickets which other club officials have since admitted were totally wrong. Couldn't be your fault could it Ehab. Must be a group of fans somewhere to blame as usual.

The only constants when he talks are contempt for football fans and his attention seeking. He's the Katie Hopkins of football. Can't believe people still read this kind of stuff and make the effort to pretend to agree with his latest nonsense.

Not like you'd cherry pick a line to suit your own agenda is it?

Not like you'd do it twice on one page either is it?

Stating he has utter contempt for all fans, as Dutch points out, is ****ing stupid too.

    Still, not unexpected.

Ticket prices for Adele's next tour to double. Her manager said "Why should we only charge £50 when you can be charged £100 on the black market?".

The contempt comment, in my opinion, needs to be viewed along side some of the abusive and contemptuous replies to City fans from some on here if their opinions are questioned.

I reckon there's more contempt from some fans to others than comes from the club.

It wasn't a government working group, he's ill informed. It was a working group convened by government, but the commitments came from the football league, the FA and the premier league. I doubt they are interested in "politics" any more than this nutter is.

Encouragement to fill the stadiums is a cracking idea - although it's doubtful that fines are the way to do it. More pertinently though, I'd have no faith whatsoever that the Allams or their marketing gurus could enact such a scheme without stuffing it up - their track record makes this abundantly clear.

Whilst I sense you're being sarcastic you're not actually that far from the truth, especially for large arena tours.
