A minimum of £280 is what a Chelsea supporter will save on his away season ticket. The report's out there somewhere.
That can't be right, if you take their cheapest matchday ticket and multiply the reduction by the minimum amount of away fans they can let in, it comes to seven figures and they've got plenty of games that are well above that minimum price.
Aha perfect, thanks Sir Bender! Quite a gulf that some clubs fans get charged aint there? Also, confirms to me that 30 quid is not low enough.
The gulf is poor. We had probably the biggest range last season £16-£50. Standardising, to a degree, the price will stop supporters being ripped off for sitting in the same seat. My biggest worry is for lower league teams who already charge £20+ out of need rather than greed. More of the TV money pot needs to be passed down the pyramid to enable smaller teams to lower their ticket prices for away support in order to maintain a sensible perspective.
Sooooo unfair that the effete , rich southerners who support Arsenal will be saving more than the Norwich fans.
Bless you. Faux outrage at the southerners who all live in huge mansions built on the bones of the northern working man. Unless you genuinely believe that prices should be graded by your clubs relative position to London? Thanks btw for adding absolutely nothing to the debate about £30 being a rip off still.
Oh dear, I expected more from you than the easy get out of jail card of "I was joking". Anyhoo, I'm not getting into a discussion on this with you ala Bummers vs other people who like avoiding the point, if you want to comment on 30 quid a game being a great deal or otherwise, fab, otherwise, just sod off.
To assist the debate - last season City fans paid an average of £35.79 for away PL fixtures. The highest was Chelsea (£50) and the lowest was West Brom and Stoke (both £25). Of the 19 away fixtures, 15 charged more than £30 (Newcastle £27 and Arsenal £26 were the other two under thirty notes).
If you thought I meant that than I have previously overestimated your intelligence. What do you think we should pay for a pint, a TV, a car or a ticket to see our favourite musical acts?
