FA Cup or nothing now lads this has been a strange transition for you. A manager who can build and develop a squad not just a first team is needed.

This team will languish in mid table and out of Europe for several years. I cannot see Chelsea winning the league for a decade, whether in or out of Europe

Tough tie at Everton, especially with Costa out. if we can get past Everton and Costa fit we have a great chance of the Cup

Class lol , StanDMan used to wind me up as well, but then I treat him now like watford-r and the like, petty little wind up merchants, not worth the time.

I struggle with anyone who is either massively pessimistic or massively optimistic when it comes to Chelsea and he seems to strangely fall into both camps depending on the weather!!

My point is Makele position is the most under rated but most important position in our formation.
Last season Matic was exceptional there. To me he was the Most valuable player in our team last season more than Hazard.
Matic freed up Fab to do his thing, Fab took Costa, Eden to another level with his forward plays.
Matic played false CB last season as well efficiently.
Mikel will be great when we shut shop and have 9 out filed players supporting him like 2012 CL final.
But he is awful when we need to chase a game and he needs to cover Fab & suspect CB pair.
Mikel is not even at Jakob, Barry, Fernando, Cattermole, Lucas, Carrick, Morgan, Victor, Dier, Imbula level let alone Fernandindo, Kante, Kouyate, Song.

Yeah well we dont have any of that lot at cfc now do we? We have an untested rlc who isnt even a dm or out of form matic.
Its one thing to lament about poor recruitment. But another to crucify a player who has tried his best and actually played well whenever called upon.
