From a footballing perspective it would see a massive shift as EU players would now be classed as 'foreign' and would require a work permit?
lot o
From my point of view - Out. The EU is a pack of cards held up by the UK and Germany largely. If we leave, the Germans will follow. It was always a bad idea trying to create a United States of Europe. Re immigration - Free movement of workers and adopting the Human Rights Act are constitutionally two of the worst things to ever happen to the UK. The latter especially has allowed the PC brigade to dictate what happens.
Never thought about "foreign" football players - but dead right about the mess a Brexit will leave - they need us much more than we need them - all I can say is a f political clever knowledgable ministers want to leave - out for me i think

Just read on the BBC news site that the Stock Exchange is in talks about merging with Deutshe Beorse who just about control finance in Germany.

Good timing or just coincidence?
Well thats interesting - my concern is if we leave we are not getting any more European money for NE developments - we,d be in hoc to Downing Street and we are not part of northen power house - no way - nothing north east of Leeds - or North Yorks National Park -<doh>

What Cameron trotted out as essentials for gaining an amended deal included special consideration for the independence of the City of London within the EU finances. Since most of our "exports" are financial services from them, I am beginning to smell a rat of a done deal with a smoke screen of fiddling entitled immigrants and self government as a diversion. France were against it but eventually went along with it so something financial is going on.

As long as the chaps are alright sod the rest of Britain.

this song is a sure-Brexit fire vote winner ...

Hmm. yet folks are homing in on immigration issues, rather than things closer to home?

i dont follow this much. it dont really affect me.

The immigration issue is a bit of a red herring. The vast majority of immigration to the uk has come from commonwealth countries. This won't be affected by leaving the EU.

I'm hoping that when people actually start looking into the bigger issues rather than the one issue of immigration, then the tide will turn in favour of staying in..

Some businesses want in the EU and some want out. They'll be making their decision on what they think is in their best interests. Not mine or yours.

Tate & Lyle are desperate for us to come out of the EU.

As much as how it maybe for some to believe, giving my views on things.

If i was at home, i'd be voting (at this moment) to stay in...

i hate that fact, very much.

That's a very good point. Businesses will be wanting what is best for them - though it will have an impact on the rest of us with whatever decisions they make.

Tate & Lyle are no longer a British company (not that that matters), but they are now owned by an American Sugar Cane company. The American sugar industry has been in dispute with the EU for a long time now over food labelling and sugar contents in foods. It could well be that these regulations would change if we left, but I'm not sure that will be the case with the government so far wanting to support the fight against obesity. It would help them a little though with not having to compete quite so closely with European sugar beet producers though.

Nothing to hate about it mate...I'm well aware that the EU is far from perfect and I would like to see them have far less political clout and be nothing more than a shared common market as was its original purpose.
I'm voting yes simply because I firmly believe that it would be economic suicide to come out.

i look on it in a selfish way. i need the wealthy folks...ive built a house for a director of shell.

i need the average eu person to make coin.

Dead right - when mooted about mayor for Newcastle also quietly made Lake District & York Dales NP"s one - a nice green ringfence around the Northern Powerhouse If being cynical - or realistic - a bit dodgy imo
