Yeah - cos we really need the 1.26 million brits living in other EU countries to come home to save the strain on services!
I didn't realise there was 1.26 million coming back thanks for telling me I am glad you are in the know.
I'm not I just google.... http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/eu-referen...live-european-union-where-infographic-1526116
Google £1.3 Million tax in Britain, France expected £1.3 Billion for the life of me I can't think why Google would like us to stay in EU.
For me it's in. My business tenders for EU contracts, if we leave the EU we will not longer be invited to tender as only companies based in EU countries will be eligible to tender. The money comes to us in the UK and we pay our staff who spend it here. I know lots of other businesses in the same position. Some of the bigger ones will move offices abroad or have branches abroad which means we will lose the tax revenue in this country. Lets face it: Corbyn says in and Cameron says in. Farage and Bojo say out........ need I say anymore. I am probably unusual because I am a fan of both Corbyn and Cameron, I like both of them for different reasons.
Okay. You've always come across as a level headed lad. Corbyn? Really? What's his plus points for you?
For me I like the fact he sticks to his views and seems to genuinely cares about people who are less fortunate. I think some of his ideas are completely nuts and unworkable. As an opposition though he will put Cameron under pressure on key issues and that's a good thing. While I lean to the right, I cannot condone the fraud the bankers got away with and the fact there have hardly been any prosecutions. I also cannot condone people freezing in their own homes or not being able to afford food.
Can't disagree with a word of that Vegas. He's definitely a man of principle. No argument there. The only point I'd make is that, yes he sticks to his views, but they're firmly rooted in the 60's. The world's moved on since then.
Agree with you there, I should have probably said there are things I also don't like about Corbyn and Cameron too.
Politicians eh? You gotta love 'em. Many of them have never lived in the real world, never struggled to put food on the table. Others are so fixated and obsessed with their own "truth", they can't see the wood for the trees. When we eventually set all those lawyers off to sea in a rusty sinking ship, we need to spare some berths for the politicians as well.
You live in the North ffs you cant possibly advocate voting out, Just like Wales the north are heavily reliant on EU monetary fund for grants and jobs, The £ is already showing signs of weakening and that is before any decision of what could happen and that is bad news for Mortgage payers that will see a significant increase they will have to pay or lose their homes. There will be job losses up north and in Wales as the north south divide gets even bigger than what it is already. Scotland will stay in the EU as that is the best option for them as they will definitely leave the UK for good if we come out. Think carefully what you are voting for as your future for your families depend on you making the right choice because once the decision is made there will be no turning back.........
There are EU millions being spent around the Midlands as well, Corby, Kettering, Northamptonshire, improving the roads and other infra-structure. Corby especially. It's just my assumption that most people are probably currently fixating on the immigration issue and less on the wider economic issues. I'm not understating the immigration issues at all, but there's always a bigger picture. I don't believe leaving the EU will fix the immigration problem, therefore in my eyes it's a non-issue in this instance. 18 months ago the £/€ was 1.25-ish and then went up to about 1.43. Now it's back to 1.23. I'm quoting a friend just tonight, who bought a place abroad 18 months ago, and is obsessed with the exchange rate now he's buying property abroad. (If he's wrong, then my apologies). So the recent movements in the exchange rate aren't necessarily a sign of market uncertainty with the referendum, maybe more a case of the £ being over-valued. At this point in time I'm voting in.
About 30 months ago the £_€ was 1.10 The money from the EU is only a part of the money we pay in...and, they say where it must be spent. On immigration, at the moment we have absolutely no control over EU incomers. When we're out we will have control. It will depend on what the government does with this power but it means we can allow in those we want and refuse those we don't. The governments immigration figures are complete tosh. Over the last few years they admitted 1,000,000 EU migrants had arrived here and at the same time issued 2,500,000 national insurance numbers to EU migrants. This is just starting to be talked about but the government will not release the true facts and has refused a FOI request for true information. They get the immigration numbers by seeing who arrives at a few airports and guessing how many that means are coming into the UK. They have ALWAYS 'underestimated' I know there are about a third of us on here for out, same for in and the rest undecided. None of the stay inner's can change my mind and I don't expect them to change theirs.
Always remember the old adage "Figures can Lie - and Liars can Figure"! No jobs, no accommodation, education and health facilities closing down yet thousands and thousands of people coming into the UK every week putting your welfare system at breaking point. The Pollies say that makes sense!!?? Meanwhile, the Member for Mosque-o suggests that Pensioners should do community work if they want their pension. please log in to view this image
