That's what I thought, just wondered if all passes were being reduced. The answer is he doesn't know but suspects not.
OK, when dealing with thick ****s or sneaky evasive ****s, sometimes an oblique strategy may be used. Subject: anti hooli fence/ 'sterile area' enforcement zone at the rear of the North stand. Question: M'lud, with reference to the above, may I enquire how many other current Championship clubs employ a fence of this type? Answer: "I don't know (uneasy laugh). I'd have to check up and report back at the next meeting. (standard fobbing off response). Question: Thanks for that, but could we assume the answer is at most 2 or 3 (us and Birmingham City)?, and could I then ask what triggers its use when we are told arrests are at an all time low and almost all other clubs in the top 2 divisions, some with crowds at least double ours, can manage without one? The fence causes home fans frustration as it appears to be a Goretex one whereby it is porous in one direction only. Away fans can come out of the sterile zone and not get beaten up as they walk through home fans, but home fans are physically barred from walking in the opposite direction through the away fans. M'lud, quite frankly this practice is nonsense and discriminatory, as well as unnecessary. Furthermore, whoever dreamt it up is an utter **** of the highest order. Is there anybody listening?
Is it possible to get some more tickets out to schools in the East Riding area? I'm currently working at a school near Driffield and the 'Hull City' buzz hasn't really got that far (although there are a couple of kids who do have some paraphinalia), it'd be great to see them offer tickets to some of the smaller schools like mine so that they can get them hooked early on, many of them (both boys and girls) have an interest in football and I feel like we could do more as a club to get them to the games.
If I was you I'd get in touch with Tigers Trust, I'm not sure exactly what they provide but I think they take care of stuff like that
To be honest, some coaching wouldn't go amiss if they could get some of the half term things out this way. If nothing else it would make the kids more aware of the club.
Turnstile entry system. It is ****. They don't scan tickets that people print at home. Queues for night games are horrific and the supposedly quicker scan and entry system I think is much slower than the manual system we had before.
Tiger's Trust do the kids parties and stadium tours at the KC as well. They also do the grass roots football tours as my lad got the opportunity to take penalties against Roary - he scored all 5 pens
To be fair, they should probably get some tickets out to the schools IN Hull first. These final home games are a perfect time to fill up that North West corner of the stadium which is always mostly empty. Get some adult/child combo tickets to the school kids. They're our future! I realise each time OLM makes this thread my reply (and Filey's) is always school-children-related but, as yet, the club does very little to get the school kids attending.
Unfortunately I do not share your view, the club is always willing to work with schools. The Football in the Community program was changed to Tigers Trust and
I propose getting rid of turnstiles and having robots police who comes in via iris scanning. If someone attempts to gain entry without a ticket, a big **** off gadget claw will assail the thief and give him a ****ing good beating. I also think it'd be worthwhile getting vending machines for drinks as the queues to the food counters are ****ing stupid. Plenty of space to put them around and it would ease the congestion no end.
I disagree, the children in the city of hull are well aware of what the club can offer, it's the ones further out that need attention. Mind you, the children in Hull from the poorer areas might appreciate some free tickets.
I was more talking giving some tickets here and there to get the kids in. When the North West and sometimes South West corners of the stadium are mostly empty, where's the harm?
Yeah they're aware of the club but was talking about getting them attending (as my post above this one).
Also, the concourse TVs. Why are they sometimes on and sometimes off? They should always be on as a point of good housekeeping.
