How old do you have to be to be classed as an old codger? At what age is someone not tech savvy?
Patronising twat.

Calm down. You might notice that I said most not all. just because you might be able to sort it, doesn't mean everyone can. My father in law is mid-60's, used pc's every day at work, but wouldn't know how to get prime and certainly not onto a TV. My dad is 73, never used a pc and wouldn't even have a clue where to start. Both watched top gear but won't be watching Clarkson's new show.

The Top Gear brand is so closely associated with Clarkson, Hammond & May they would have been better off calling it something else.

Spot on. BBC are worried that the new version wont sell in America hence why they have gambled on Matt Le Blanc.

The big problem the BBC have not resolved or sorted out is a quality replacement for Executive producer Andy Wilman who has gone with Clarkson to Amazon prime. Andy has the contacts.

I am looking forward to seeing just how Clarkson, Hammond and May do there new show now that the BBC shackles are finally off.

At some point the New Clarkson show will be shown on either channel 4 or 5. Maybe ITV.1 will take it as they need something new(and always happy to beat the BBC to something successful) and improved on the normal dross they show.

The real top gear will be on Amazon.

Bigger, better and more bad ass than ever before. The budget Amazon have given them blows top gears budget off the planet.
They seem to be making significant investment on their TV shows Amazon and some of them are really decent like the Man in the High Castle/Black Sails/Vikings, it wouldn't surprise me if Top Gear returned to the days before the Beeb clamped the budget so for petrolheads you might get some really decent stuff on there to watch. Eddie Jordan is one of the most annoying people they could have got on it (the BBC show), I can understand why some people like Chris Evans but he's not my cup of tea either so will be giving it a miss.

And it will fail spectacularly. A good proportion of Top Gear fans will be old codgers that won't have a clue how to watch it, many of those that could won't want to pay the cost of Amazon Prime especially if already paying for Sky/BT, and some just won't bother.

Silly boy.
