With Aston Villa all but gone it would appear that maybe the relegation gods want both Sunderland and Newcastle this time around. The PL league table does not lie. Both have lived on the edge over the past couple of years at least and when you flirt with danger it normally catches up with you. However, we could do with them both staying up as both clubs normally mean PL points for Hull City.
Surprised there isn't more demand for a left-back, when Robertson is out we have literally no decent replacement in that position (see Derby for case in point). Derby have an embarrassment of riches up front now, and if Diomande turns out to be no good we are very limited there. If no-one were to leave those positions would have to be our priority for me.
They had two hamstring injuries and cramp for Toure in the match v Stoke last night. They would do well to sign players and keep them rather than send back to previous club
I doubt Arsenal will want him cup tied by us if there's any chance of someone else giving him first team football. Even though he's training with us I expect he won't be in any match day squad until after the window's closed!
Former Leeds United and Manchester United player Alan Smith is close to joining Plymouth from Notts County.
Sunderland sign up Martyn Glover from Leeds Utd. He was head of recruitment @ TWS and worked with Sam @ West Ham. Sam trusts him especially in this crucial January transfer window. If Villa are serious about Jack Grealish then they should loan him out to a PL club.
Bolton Wanderers have rejected an enquiry from Birmingham City for forward Zach Clough. It seems they've had Premier League interest.
Standard Liege have rejected a £2.2m bid from Brighton for former Leicester City winger Anthony Knockaert.
He's mebbe getting a little injury prone, he isn't as quick as he once was but, he should still have enough to light up the Championship, good move for Wolves if it comes off.
Conor Townsend has gone, he's signed for Scunny on a permanent... please log in to view this image Good luck young man.
Reckon he will do well; looks pretty sound defensively and has a decent free-kick on him. I'm hoping Max Clarke is the one who gets a chance with us or he could be another to go without being given a chance
WTF......... Mark Robins had him on loan last season so why the feck did he not sign him last summer ? ffs, Robins. At least you corrected the mistake. Agreed.
Wonder why he's taking a step down in standard? It must be a money thing. He should be aiming higher, not lower.
No… the Allams wouldn't trust Bruce with the tea money….!!!… he's ******* useless when it comes to recruitment. Something like a 3/10 success rate.
