Lets hope if we bring any players in they will be good enough to strengthen the team and play regularly not like the summer signings of whom only Odubajo has been a regular, Akpom has been in and out and is still learning the game, Maloney has been mainly a sub, Talyor a total waste and Hayden is going back so overall I wouldn't call it a successful summer transfer market. To me you bring players in to strengthen your team not players who are going to sit on the bench and hardly play, if your not going to bring players in who are going to be better than what you have in that position then don't bring them in, yes its a squad game but to get promotion you need better
It is helpful if people state the source when posting something so we can distinguish real news from the bollox.
Was it us or was it arsenal ? If it was us I think it was a mistake, he looked really good against the foxes and I thought after that he would get more game time. I think he should of started against Rotherham and Preston and that would of given a midfielder a rest, him and hudds were good in that cup game.
Interesting that some of you lot think McCormack would be in our sights, given that we don`t have a lot of money to splash, and the contract that he will be on at Fulham. As for Hayden returning to Arsenal, I would rather have seen Akpom go back tbh, Hayden sadly hasn`t been given the chances, tbf when he did come on he did ok, but obviously Brucie don`t fancy him. If Thudd does go, then at least we may have some money to invest, but your guess is as good as mine.
Is Charlie Adam getting a game at Stoke at the minute, now he would be a decent loan signing, with a view to permanent.
I don't think Hayden has under performed, he's simply found the earlier than anticipated returns of Jake and Snodders blocking his path into the team. All the best to the kid. As for Akpom I was open minded until a couple of weeks ago, for me he can go back but it won't happen given the limited options we currently have up front.
I think they paid something like 2.5 million to have him for the season or was that just bollocks reporting !!!
Just guessing but I suspect a clause would exist whereby if an acceptable permanent deal and transfer fee was agreed with another club, then either Reading would have to match that or he would be released from the loan agreement. As I say just guessing.
Depends if f they want to sell a Championship club or a Premier League club. I know what I'd rather be selling.
Reading have an option to buy at £10m, it the loan was recalled they'd have to refund the £2.5m loan fee, simply not going to happen.
10 million!!! Think I may need to rethink my transfer options. Although the loan deal should have been explored by brucey
