He's proper ****, his record before dropping into non-league was 1 in 16 in the Championship for Bristol City, then ten goals across two years at four different clubs. He then moved to Crawley, where he managed 1 league goal in 31 appearances in Leagues 1 and 2. He then rejoined Portsmouth, where he managed 11 appearances with 0 goals. He's done alright this season, but he's been proper **** for the last seven years and we'd be mental to go for him.
I'd take a punt on Washington though. Their midfielder Jermaine Anderson is very, very good as well.
Actually, on the subject of proper **** strikers, that lad that Tickles was always on about, Eoin Doyle, lines up for Preston tomorrow. Worth a punt my arse.
Washington is a fantastic player - but isn't Anderson out for the rest of the season?

Apparently their chief scout is their chairman Darragh McAnthony, he goes out and watches any lower league players. He must be good at it, he's responsible for finding McLean, CMS (haha), Washington, Anderson, Assombalonga and Maddison.
Apparently the club don't actually have any paid scouts, they just send the staff they have to watch games. Incredible.

Id like us to try and get Bobby Wood he has 7 in 19 for Union Berlin in the Bundesliga 2 and just turned 23. He will be replacing Altidore in the next world cup for the US.
The thought of buying another Bundesliga 2 player makes me shudder.
