Current or previous ?

You see, your post is ambiguous again.

I really dont want to keep going on with this one as I'm 99% sure you're just trying to wind me up but, that not withstanding, what the **** are you on about? if someone asks you who the champions of the Premier League are, do you think they want to know who the champions of the Premier League are or do they want to know the champions from a different not referenced in any way, shape or form year?

Go on then.... you're on who Wants To be a Millionaire tomorrow and for £1m pounds you're asked "who are the champions of the English football Premier League?"

What's your answer?

Chelsea are the Champions at the moment.

Although they're the worst ****ing champions ever seen.

You obviously didn't watch them last season, they were playing exactly the same as they are now, they just didn't convert it into results until the latter part of the season.

... very true ... although we have come on remarkably since that run ... apart from the QPR game (last game of the season with them already relegated) it never really felt comfortable at any time in that run in ... even the 3-0 against Newcastle ... one of their lads gave us a needless penalty to make it 3-0 at a point where a goal back might have made a huge differenvce ...

... this season in contrast we have controlled many games ... Newcastle away really could have ended up 6-0 to us .. similarly Swansea ... not used to having that feeling in the top league with Leicester City ...

Ranieri deserves tremendous credit for taking our 'style' to the next level ... defensively we are improving almost game by game whilst our attacking threat is there for all to see .. scoring in every game to date is evidence ...

We now go into games not fearing the opposition - yes we can be beat - all teams can - but we will always be a threat to the opposing goal ... all you can ask for really.

PS Mahrez is worth the admission money win, lose or draw ... and Vardy's 'story' is of fairytale proportions

Who are the champions of the Premier League?

If we'd had this same conversation at this time last season, who wouldve been champions?
A team are only champions of the top division from the moment they win it until the kick-off of their first game of the following season.

Flawed again. A question such as that would never be allowed in a serious quiz. It would have to be worded either
'Who are the current Champions' or 'Who were the Champions in 2014/15'

Technically, when you ask 'who are the Champions' the context is ambiguous.

Who are the Champions of the EPL ? It's badly worded because the answer could be Man Utd, Blackburn, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea.

Do you understand now ?

No.

This is all very silly.

It really is.

It's a really weird league though Chelsea have gone from title takers to relegation candidates Man Utd inconsistent along with Man City and Arsenal. It is without doubt the craziest it has ever been. Fair play to Leicester - but it's as much about the other teams faltering. Just what is going on at Chelsea? I have never seen such a big swing in performances and league position. Crazy.

100% ^^^^ this. Spot on.

Leicester being top of the PL has more to do with the big 7 clubs not doing what they should be doing for a number of reasons. However it is good fun to watch whilst the mayhem continues. However, now that that the CL has closed until late February I am expecting both Arsenal and Manchester City at least to pull clear at the top.

Leicester don't have to fear January - more next summer. They could well sneak 4th spot but I suspect something like 7th maybe 6th is more a realistic target for the end of the season.

As much as Leicester were good last night, Chelsea were awful. Big time Charlie's for sure. Overpaid 100% yes.

Was nice to see Ranieri get one over on Mourinho yesterday, am enjoying Mourinhos downfall this season. Good luck for the rest of the season, there was a good stat I saw yesterday that all clubs in your position now have finished top 4 so that would be an epic achievement

Ranieri has always been a nice guy, I warmed to him a lot at Inter. He's just not been very good over a sustained period before. Until now maybe...?

Tbh once you hit the magic 40 points , I think you could be even more dangerous as you will be playing completely without fear

When TWS were champions they were the only champions in history not to win a single away game.

Another team with a rapid fall was Ipswich who were relegated 2 seasons after being champions.
Going back to Man City, they are the only team to both score and concede 100 goals or more in the same season.
They let in 100 goals in Div 1 in 1957/1958 but finished 5th as they scored 104.
Only one team has scored 100 goals in 4 consecutive seasons. Any guesses?
