what a waste of time having 24 teams, only 8 of them won't get out of the group stages? Ridiculous, utterly utterly ridiculous. Should never have expanded past 16.

Platini did it I guess to get the votes of weaker countries in a presidential poll. Havelange performed the same trick when in charge at FIFA. People said there were too many weak teams at the last Euros and now there are an extra eight. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Yeah, all about chasing more money and 'buying' the backing of the small countries, exact same principal that Josef Sepp Bellend Blatter employed to stay in power for so long, it's just so pointless, when you have what 50 odd members, how can you have half of them making the championships? If you're going to have 24 you may as well go the whole hog and have 32 so a sensible format can be followed

So when is the draw? That seems to be oddly lacking from something professing to include the final details for the draw.

Didn't the last world cup also have GLT? Why would you not use it?

Ones organised by FIFA and the other UEFA so guess different people have to agree - UEFA don't use it in the Champions League as we know - extra officials preferred.
