Do Inter go pot one because City are in the final and league champs anyway so in the pot regardless? Regardless San Siro is one stadium I'd love to go to. Even without a ticket I'd get out there to do the tour of the stadium if we were playing there!
What happens once the 32 teams qualify? The 32 teams are split into four different "pots," with the restriction that teams from the same association could not be drawn against each other. For the draw, the teams were seeded into four pots based on the following principles: • Pot 1 contains the Champions League titleholders, the Europa League titleholders and the champions of the top six associations based on their UEFA coefficients. If either the Champions League or Europa League titleholders were one of the champions of the top six associations, the champions of the association ranked seventh, and possibly eighth, are also seeded into Pot 1. • Pots 2, 3 and 4 contain the remaining teams, seeded based on their 2018 UEFA club coefficients. Then, a team is drawn from each pot until there are eight groups of four. Our 2018 UEFA Club Coefficient is a standard English 15.261 which ranks us around 90, so unless there are a lot of low ranked teams in the last 32 we will be in Pot 4, which is actually good because it will mean at least 2 very strong teams in our group.
Yup. Placement into the pots is based on rankings (highest ranked teams in pot 1 etc.). Then 1 team pulled from each pot, to make up the 8 groups of 4 teams.
