Monk kept Swansea up, then got them to 8th in the Premier League in his first ever season in management, he'll get more job offers than Bruce.

Possibly - but he could be a one club wonder. Look at Sherwood for example - did a good job at Spurs and everyone said he should have kept the job, but was then crap at Villa.

Anyone would be crap at Villa after they sold their best players.

Randy doesn't seem bothered if they are relegated.

I don't get it.

Even the Chelsea fans aren't calling for Mourhino's head.

I'm pleased we're sticking with our manager.

Mourinho is a good example, but I'm almost certain that if in two years time they've not improved he'll be long gone.

I'm sure he'll turn it around in the next couple of windows and be in contention for the title again next season.

I don't quite feel the same way about us under Bruce...

If James Beattie has been released from their coaching staff, ****ing get him in, he was a great striker and would almost certainly improve our striker's finishing ability. Roo would literally spontaneously combust with the results.

When is the deadline for him to be eligible to play on Saturday? We could do with him up front.

He was golden boy of the PL a few months ago, shows how quickly opinions change. Gone from being a potential England manager to who knows where next?

Not a chance it will be Ryan Giggs as some fleet street hacks have been reporting.

In fact after what Jenkins has done to Monk I hope that Swansea get relegated. <laugh>

It all boils down to one word """"PANIC""". With the vast sums available next season owners/chairman are pressing the panic button way too early.

Yeah it isn't right. Surely long term stablility/success is more important that the inital boost from a new manager? You would think that owners would have a look at Fergie at man u and realise, though those days seem to be long gone....

Not looking good for Swansea City to have a new manager in anytime soon reports suggesting.

They should have stayed with Gary Monk. A lesson to be learned here.

Swans did not look that much better against the Spammers on sunday.

They have Pulis and Wba next @ home on Boxing Day. <laugh>

They already decided on Marcelo Bielsa, but there seems to be some issue over the length of contract he wants.

Sum issue now on IF he will come at all ?

Moyes - Rodgers - Poyet have all said no officially to Swansea. Rumours of 2/3 others incl. Giggs also not interested. However the situation with regards to Ryan Giggs may change IF LVG gets the chop ?

LVG/Ed Woodward in a meeting now. Media waiting on news. What colour smoke will it be ? <laugh>

So no guarantee they'll get him then. These things can drag on and presumably they will have an alternative in mind. Lesson - don't sack your manager unless your chosen replacement is lined ready to go.

Correct. Real football is not xbox / football manager, yet some on here think it is the same. <laugh>

Swansea have appointed Alan Curtis as manager until end of season.

It will be the one win in five that swung it for him.

Absolutely mental this one.. Monk was doing an ok job, he's still a young manager who would hopefully get better with experience.

Fair enough if they had a better manager lined up but they obviously did not.

I know it wont happen but id love to see Monk manage city. I just think we're crying out for a manager who plays attractive football, winning is nice under Bruce (when it happens) but most fans want to see good football being played.
