Ok, here are the latest details from SKYBET. Unfortunately, Sherwood doesn't want to go away. please log in to view this image
No Gary Rowett there, unfortunately, so I'll take Brendan Rogers, provided there's a clause in his contract requiring him to demonstrate a bit less ego than he has in recent years.
Brendon Rogers might be a good fit. He'd certainly get us moving the ball around and keeping possession - the latter sadly lacking under Ramsey.
Was he not recently appointed manager of AEK Athens or Panathiniakos...somewhere in Greece anyways...? I like how Sky still have Derry on here too. I'd say they were hedging their bets but I guess that's all bookies ever do.
All I care about is - no former Chelsea players or managers please. We have nearly always tanked recently when an ex-Chelsea man is in the chair (Wilkins, Hughes). Ever since Dave Sexton, the Stamford Bridge connection has been bad for us...
That's good news. Has there been much money for Rogers? He's odds-on with Betfair according to Oddschecker.
I'm just trying to imagine the likes of Phillips, Onouha, Hoilett, Perch and Mackie playing tippy tappy in their own half....
It would be some come down for a guy that nearly won the Premiership a couple of years back. No way, can't see it happening.
I would be happy with Rogers as the new manager despite not liking the bloke, he meets the number one credential for me, he is not Tim Sherwood
I think we need Pearson. A strong personality who wouldn't take any 5hit, has proper experience of taking a team up, battling for and winning PL survival. Not sure if he would tolerate all the back room cronies, hangers on and waste of time advisors we seem to over employ.
