My only worry about Seedorf is that it would only increase our expectations purely from his background, having said that, it would be an awesome addition long term.

Possibly .................. If he wants to come to England, he needs to cut his teeth somewhere and where better than London?
May also get Fer to finally get serious and aim up.

Footnote - If not mentioned elsewhere, Lambert has gone to the chicken farmers..............good.

Seedorf would be a good catalyst for a resurgence of the club's fortunes and would doubtless quickly establish a lead over our promotion rivals.

    Clarence Clearwater Revival anyone...?

I was only repeating something Stan posted in response to my underwhelmed post on this thread.

I would not be underwhelmed if we did appoint Seedorf tbh!

In QPR terms long term = 6 months

For the record I'd probably keep NW until the end of the season & then see what's best & who's available as think we missed a trick or two last season by appointing CR too early & for the wrong reasons.

Err lads, sadly no matter how many tantrums I throw, Seedorf won't be coming to QPR. I just love the idea of it, so much more fun than the grey alternatives.

If we kept NW til the end of the season and he achieved promotion the club would be almost duty bound to keep him. Not that I am wholly against this but if we are willing to believe that he is a promotion specialist we can't then ignore his other rep for not being a very good PL manager, or can we?

Just wish we'd get some news soon, even the paper gossip has gone dry.

You might try a sponsored tantrum, Stan, and offer the club the proceeds to subsidise Clarence's salary.

The performance at Middlesbrough on Friday will be telling, to see whether NW is making headway in reorganising the team and bringing out some of the latent talent. A promising performance, and I suspect the QPR board will start dragging their heels on the search of the new manager. A big game for Neil.

Looking at our boards track record, wouldn't surprise me if we went for Seedorf, and ended up with this fella....

Although he performed quite well at Spurs, initially too at Fulham, I believe his better management years are likely now behind him.

Clarence Seedorf could bring a breath of fresh air to Loftus Road. Perhaps he would bring in Taarabt on loan from Benfica and get him playing again like at Milan.

    Fulham
On 7 June 2011, it was announced that Jol had signed a two-year contract to take up the vacant post at Premier League side Fulham, after Mark Hughes' departure.[18] He joined the club almost a year after nearly becoming their manager before Hughes' appointment.[15] "I am very happy to join Fulham. It is a club with good, solid foundations and a great fan base," he said. "I am looking forward to being part of the Fulham family and thank the chairman for the trust shown in me." Jol's first game in charge of Fulham was the UEFA Europa League first round first leg against Faroese side NSÍ Runavík on 30 June 2011, Fulham winning 3–0. Jol's first Premier League game in charge was at home against Aston Villa on 13 August 2011, the game ending in a 0–0 draw. In his first season with the club, he led them to ninth place in the Premier League, collecting 52 points, one point off of Fulham's record points tally in the top division. They claimed some notable scalps during the season, including victories over Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Liverpool, plus a credible 2–2 draw against eventual league champions Manchester City. They also earned two solid draws against London rivals Chelsea and beat local rivals Queens Park Rangers firstly 6–0 at home and then 1–0 away.

It had been reported that during the first half of the season, Jol had fallen out with star striker Bobby Zamora. Zamora subsequently left Fulham to go to QPR and join up with former Fulham manager Mark Hughes. Jol signed Pavel Pogrebnyak from VfB Stuttgart on loan, who proved an instant hit scoring five goals in three Premier League games, including the winning goal against QPR and a hat-trick against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Overall, the striker scored six Premier League goals, more than Zamora had managed in the League that season. Collectively, it was a successful first season for Jol, as Fulham finished only 12 points and three places outside of Europa League qualification.[19]

In the second season Fulham finished 12th place and Jol extended his contract for another year until 30 June 2014.[20] Jol was sacked as Fulham manager on 1 December 2013 after six successive defeats in all competitions, the last of which a 3–0 defeat to West Ham in which Fulham failed to register a single shot on target.[21][22]

Jol has a very good record and years of experience. Only shambles is that as normal large chunks of the media is just connecting available Managers to Clubs with that position (or similar) open.
