http://www.skysports.com/football/n...rent-koscielny-tops-sky-sports-power-rankings Here's a list of the most in form players this week and for the season. Quite a few Saints players in the top 50. Interestingly there are no former Saints (unless I missed them) except Alderweireld who doesn't count. VVD had a good week.
Just surprise her. Nicely framed behind glass as well so as to protect it. Put it up while she's out and have an alternate place to hang it when she says get that thing out of here.!
The cynical view is that youngsters want to play mainly so they can get snapped up by a bigger club like Luke, Calum, Ox, Theo, Gareth etc. So not playing them only means we get to keep them longer! Let's hoard them, and unleash them when we have 11 world beaters - one in each position. they'll be ages 27-30 by then, but still youngsters in spirit.
Surprise her! Have it built behind glass tiles (EDIT: SS beat me to that one). 31 pairs of eyes staring down at you in the bath - will give any woman that feeling of calm serenity they demand from a bath session.
S'funny because I think bringing through youngsters is very much in Koeman's DNA. He certainly says as much too and his past shows that he does. But there is one caveat - they have to be good enough. Clearly, they are not at the moment as Saints search for higher positions. It's no shame that our current crop aren't quite good enough. We can't carry passengers in the team, and as the club search for silverware, those opportunities that used to present themselves in cup competitions will be rarer than before. So that means they have to be of a higher standard if they want to play for this club. Otherwise they will go out on loan, reach the required standard or eventually get sold to a club that wants them. Saints have done this all the way down the years. It's just that our standards have got a lot higher of late. Doesn't mean to say that quality players won't continue to be produced for the first team and selected when they are good enough. Harry Reed will get his time. He's nearly there.
My worry would be that the following week there'd be a photo of the Wigan Warriors team on the other wall.
Though the club is right to focus on the technical side of the game when it comes to the players, quite a few of the more talented youngsters from the academy are a bit small(in stature and build). The vast majority of teenagers who make an impact at the top level are pretty much physically developed or have extraordinary pace. In Seager, Hesketh & Sims for example, we have three players who have been performing well for the academy over a number of years, but it seems they're having to wait for their bodies to catch up. Olomola is the first youngster since Gallagher to look like he has the ready made build. We shall see if he gets the nod ahead of Seager.
It's actually a deliberate policy by Saints. they take the ones who have been overlooked because they're behind in their stature. Neither did Jimmy Johnstone or Archie Gemmil, or countless other World Class players. I don't even think Messi is tall enough these days.
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...r-early-southampton-return-says-ronald-koeman Fraser back earlier than expected
Goody. Do we think he'll get straight back in the side.? I don't know. Stekelenburg is doing well and is quite solid. We absolutely missed him when he had his back injury. And another thing, he's a thinking keeper. He may not quite have Frazer's reactions, but during that Chelsea game, when Falcao dived in front of him, he took his hands away from the encounter, just to give the ref every chance to award a dive. Not every keeper would have done that. I think he's earned a stay in the side. But glad that Forster will be back to push him.
Not totally surprised as Fraser had been posting tweets for a while suggesting all was progressing well.
Yes I know a great lawyer, and a highly recommended shelter for the homeless in Manchester that is conveniently close to the Big Issue office. This presumes you think your wife won't find you in Manchester.
She's from the NW. She has contacts. I couldn't go SW as I have family there and she'd expect that. I think I'll end up NE.
