Caulker and Elia were seen as troublemakers before coming here, and we still signed them. I think it would be a good move if we can get him cheaply, he would be a great option off the bench
Lol Caulker's managed to get himself banned from every nightclub in the city, I'd be very surprised if he stays beyond his loan.
I honestly would rather we didn't bother. We can't turn all of this rough ore into gold. If it's true, and it probably isn't, he'd have to cost next to nothing. And in any case, I'd rather we do no business with Spurs in either direction.
Townsend to Saints was a made up rumour about a year ago, when Townsend was at his "peak". Pochettino probably wishes he'd bought him when he was here now.
Do we really want Spurs cast offs? Unless we feel we can do our usual magic and turn someone's career round. I suppose we might buy someone if we think they are too good to miss, but, in general, aren't we pretty well stocked with players for this season.
From what I have read in The Press; Saints had made it known that we have blacklisted Spurs and there will be no trades/transfers between the two clubs since the VW incident at the start of the season.

I think our problems with Spurs are more longstanding than that and the final nail in the coffin was the antics of Pochettino. He lied to everyone (or at least was misleading) and then hoped to take some of our players.
