I thought we were in administration but Markus paid the debts anyway?

VIn

He did, but our debts weren't that huge. It was the parent company which foundered - Southampton Leisure Holdings.

There is something I am unclear on to this day. Did Markus Liebherr buy just Southampton FC and it's associated companies, or did he buy the lot.? Here's the list of the separate companies that SLH wholly owned:

  • Southampton Football Club Ltd
  • St. Mary's Stadium Ltd
  • St. Mary's SPV Ltd
  • Southampton Insurance Services Ltd
  • Southampton Mortgage & Financial Centre Ltd
  • Saints Supporters Club Ltd
  • Southampton Swaylife Ltd
  • Secure Retirement Ltd
  • Dell Estates Ltd
  • St Michael's Street Homes (No. 1) Ltd
  • Stadium 2000 Ltd
  • Felix Broadcasting Ltd
  • South City FM Ltd
  • Forest FM Ltd

Leeds are something of a sleeping giant - strong fan base. I have wondered for many years now why nobody has taken this club forward other than not owning their ground (that could be bought back) - good deal IMO. I can well remember the Don Revie years and that awful team he built, so no particular love for them, very loyal fans that deserve better. Good ownership meaning not just cash but direction also; NC can provide that.

I'm sure a fair number in that part of the world are now Manchester City fans, youngsters who are impressed with what they see there, rather than the rubbish that has been served up by Leeds for the past 7 or 8 seasons. So I think their fan base has shrunk. Still big compared with most apart from the "Top 6, Everton and Newcastle and West Ham.

You keep saying that. Leeds are definitely a sleeping giant, no matter that a few fans may have drifted away.
