I'm certainly fond of a cup of tea.

It's my culchure.
Cafe Culture?

Twinnings English breakfast brewed for at least 4 minutes, half a sugar and some milk. Lovely wi a wee bowl of porridge.

Shakespeare, Dickens and Wordsworth = English culture

Burns = Scottish culture

<laugh>

Do you actually know anything about Scots culture? You do realise Scots culture has heavily borrowed from the Irish, the Danes, the English, the French and myriad other cultures. Even bagpipes were borrowed from other cultures, yet they are now seen as intrinsically Scots. That's how a country, any country gains culture and tradition, by taking what they like and adapting it to suit, just like the Yanks have done.

Tea is consumed more per head in Ireland than in Britain.

Are you saying tea is part of British culture :huh:

It's a drink.

All that afternoon tea bollocks and what have you probably is part of British culture in the same way as fish and chips etc. All a load of pretentious ****e trying to define it if you ask me - which I fully appreciate you didn't!

Catherine of Braganza had one of the 1st cups of tea ever drunk in the UK. She had a brew up on or near the Sally port in old Portsmouth (new portsmouth in them days) before getting banged by Charles 2.

That's it I'm going back to readi ng the ****ing times.

Nothing worse than a self-loading Jock.
