CT is dogmatically anti-liberal Cromer, your good points fall on deaf ears...

Au contraire, My position is that of an extreme social liberal. I believe that there should be no condemnation of people for their sexuality, gender or colour. In fact if they wish to shag a dead pig that is entirely their affair.

<laugh> I know I was only teasing. I deliberately changed the capital "L" to a little "l" to prod...

This is easily the best one I've seen:

Though I Actually fully agree with CT here. It's frustrating that this non-story about what the PM did when he was an idiotic 20-something get more attention than all the back-handed, "sell off your own grandmother for a quick buck", shady dealings that the Tories seem to be involved in.

They are proving no better than I had feared. John McDonnell on R4 today being clinically kebabed by the interviewer on all the stupid comments he has made in the last few years . When you hear this sort of thing you know why Alistair Campbell was so successful in what he did for Blair. If you hold unpopular views (Many of which BTW I agree with) you don't spout them in public and expose you and your party to the kind of ridicule that will see Labour destroyed at the ballot box. Oh well, I suppose it has to be the Armalite then.

Hmm, so the people of Wales (entire population 3M) have spoken. The population of the UK is 64.1M (England 53M), I doubt Mr Corbyn and his cronies have the same appeal for the broader electorate.

Stop fighting it, KIO. The Revolution is inevitable.

Corbyn shows Marr a thing or too about political debate. Marr does his best to spin Corbyn's words throughout the interview. Corbyn strikes through as articulate, sensible and a bit closer to my world view than an Etonian.

A good director of communications (Spin Doctor) is an absolute essential for a mainstream political party. Without one the Tory controlled media just do what they want with you. The John McDonnell interview was painful to hear. You can't side with people who throw fire extinguishers at the police from a roof, much as you think it's a good idea to do that. The same with the IRA, I thought it an excellent idea to get them round a table and talk but then the media portray you as " Friends of the gunmen" It's all bullshit but in this day and age it delivers votes.

I have just heard Mc Donnell's speech and I don't disagree with any of it, all I question is whether they have the guile to get into power to implement it.

Andrew Marr came across as a horrible, smug, patronising little Tory throughout that interview yesterday - but then I guess that's what he actually is so I shouldn't have been surprised. Corbyn spoke clearly and inteligently throughout, answering each question straight on which is an absolute rarity in polotics these days and the best Marr could do was try to twist what he said and patronise him by saying "well done" after he'd given his answers.
And this from our 'Loony Leftie' BBC as well.

I thought McDonnell's speech today was fantastic and just what the party has been craving from its shadow chancellor for the past 5 years.

Balanced, rational and credible. Finally, the fact that austerity is a choice rather than being an economic necessity to cutting the deficit has been clearly and concisely put into words. Let's finally hammer that point home.

Well done McDonnell <ok>

It could be that the BBC types realise that Corbyn is going to get Labour slaughtered. I remain to be convinced of their merit until we have had at least a couple of Labour by election victories. That will be the acid test.
