And low wages I hope with a contract of 2 years max.

Looks like a gamble but a cheap one.

Guerra and Velikonja gone with Doyle possibly to follow. Their wages off the books should more than cover the new guy.

Seems a lot for someone who is unlikely to be a regular goal scorer. Looks like they want to get someone in quickly: -

And there is also the risk that someone could make them an offer for Afobe they couldn't refuse.

I see our new "super star" Idriss as cover for KWJ rather than the more subtle Mason. Our team structure seems to be settling so unless the sale of Mason would fund the purchase of Rantie from Bournemouth (who look like they will sign Glenn Murray today from Palace) I wouldn't go for it.

I think Tan has shown a commitment in this window. I know there hasn't been any huge investment but resisting big money approaches for Mason, Marshall and keeping KWJ on the payroll is arguably more significant. I know last years fire sale had people (including me) rightly worried but if a £4m bid has been made and refused that's a serious commitment to giving Slade the tools for the job.

Rhys Healey to Dundee on season long loan according to SSN.

Scored two goals last night for the development team against Brentford - hope he comes back from Scotland even better.
Matt Kennedy also had a very good game, scoring the first in a 3-0 win. We do look to have an excellent Develpment side this season.

Ive seen Rhys play several times and to be honest he,s a proper bloody nuisance to defenders. Great balance, control is fair, links well he,s a nippy little bugger whos willing to have a pop from distance. He will do well up north and dont be surprised if given the opportunities he scores in excess of 15-20. Best of luck to him and well done CCFC for allowing this opportunity. One to watch in the future, just like a youngster who went north and became a legend for us (well I think so) Earneeeeee

No disrespects to the guy but I would want cash or a bank transfer for anything the Riddler has to pay.

However, the loan transfer window is open for recipient clubs outside the Prem from 9th September to 25th November.

I still think we could get Rantie from Bournemouth after they signed Murray yesterday and we offloaded 4 strikers. We only (only <yikes>) have 5 left and apart from Saadi (don't know how quick he is) we still don't have much pace up top.

<laugh> as far as predicting how this season will start I think my comments regarding Dika and the general level of the side weren't far off. Just need Macheda to start smashing them in to complete the predictions......<laugh> Maybe I'll have to accept that 2 out of 3 aint bad.

On a more serious note the fact so many strikers have been moved on and yet Macheda remains suggests one of 2 things.

1) Slade rates him and see him as an important squad member

2) No ****er wants him even for free!! <laugh>
