Come on you Bluebirds lets have some rumors for new players we would like to have, the rumors can be true false or an educated guess.
Reported target. City have been watching him closely because his Turkish club are in a bad way financially and want to get him off their wage bill for next year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senijad_Ibričić
And our finances are totally sound Sparkey.......... Ironic that we've been releasing players like we're shelling peas to get the wage bill down then we sign a player from a club who are trying to reduce their wage bill. Surreal!!!
Talk of Wolves going to offer £3m for Mason. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/.../cardiff-city-transfer-rumours-wolves-9270629 That has to rejected. Or should it? £3m would go a long way to getting a half decent striker if also City are going to get money for Le Fondre and possibly Jones? City will desperately need a decent striker if Guerra is not going to feature. Revell is not god enough, and Doyle is average. Also a ball winning midfielder, a ball carrying midfielder and a pacy winger are needed to supplement Kennedy as I have had enough of Noone.
Likewise - has lost the plot completely and loses the ball more times than he uses it. His shooting ability has also collapsed. If Norwich come back again with a similar offer like they made in January, let him go.
Also as far as I am concerned someone has to come in for Gunnarrsson - I cannot go through another season watching him.
Tan have already signed a painter and decorator a while back but rumor has it he is looking for a quality plasterer as his No1 signing.....
Morning all. Been away for a week or so hence lack of posts. I would snap their hands off for £3m. Joe is a good guy who works hard but is not particularly quick, not very good in the air and is not a regular goal scorer by any stretch of imagination. He was talked of as the messiah on his return from loan (and he's not even a very naughty boy) but that didn't materialise. I think we paid £250k for him so to turn that into £3m would be a great return although I suspect Plymouth may have a sell on clause - possibly expired after 4 years with us? I hope we would have the funds to reinvest but with our record of signing strikers in the last few years a minor miracle would be required to get an effective goal scorer. Final question, is Joe really worth £3m anyway?
There is talk of Ledley coming home? I'd be pleased to see someone with his industry in the team, and ability to pass to a team mate and not lose the ball, but his downside is his lack of pace. Any views?
Saw that in WOL this morning. Pure conjecture, but so was the prophesied homecoming of Bellamy at the time - and look what happened there. Not comparing the two as players, but I'd have thought that Leds would only come back if he'd exhausted his options at a higher level. Having said that, I'd take him right now when you look at what we've got at the moment. At least he has a go, and if not pace, he'd add some passion to the proceedings.
He starts most games for mid table PL Palace, why would he step down to mid table Championship? Don't see any chance of it plus as a regular PL starter he'd be well out of price range anyway.
What? Don't you expect City to storm the division under the dynamic Mr Slade then I agree though - no legs in this rumour.
If Ledley did return what sort of welcome would he get? He left after running his contract down with, allegedly, premiership ambitions and joined Celtic.
In fairness to Joe the move to Celtic probably made him financially secure for life, as for him returning, why would he, still plays regularly for Palace in the PL, unless he wants to come home, which on the size of it doesnt really stack up as he is only a 2 hour drive away now.
