I think Moore could do a job. He was OK when he last covered for Marshall and positive things were said. I'd happily take the cash. Just need the deal to be done quickly so we can move on.
Liverpool looking at Bolton's keeper as back up http://metro.co.uk/2015/05/27/liver...o-sign-bolton-goalkeeper-adam-bogdan-5217240/
Nin - no doubt you'll be delighted to hear that Gunnar is with us for the next 3 years.................. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...rdiff-citys-icelandic-midfielder-aron-9373436
"The thought of Liverpool chasing Bolton’s second choice goalkeeper will undoubtedly just add to the excitement levels for supporters, especially after extending Kolo Toure’s contract of course." PMSL
Just talking to an Ipswich ST holder about our top target (WOL "fact") Darryl Murphy. "Yeah he scored 27 goals, it was probably luck and I doubt he'll ever have another season like it." He finished with "you can have the ****er". Now that's a ringing endorsement if ever I've heard one, really hope we're pulling our all the stops!
He's 32 right? Not exactly a spring chicken with time on his side. If true then one has to question Slades ambition and skill set. I hope VT is going to sack Slade when they meet this week.
Yes please - very impressed by him last season. Better than anyone we've got out wide, and that includes Noone and young Kennedy (at the moment). http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/.../cardiff-city-interested-derby-county-9403268
So, he's happy with the defence, wants a centre forward and a winger and extends Gunnars contract. Where does that leave us? I think he largely has the tools needed. Time will tell, but how he deploys them will be the acid test!!! If pre-season sees us lining up 442 we'll struggle and it will be a dour message board for the season.
Never mind wingers and strikers. A key element in this will be Dikjacoi. Can he lose the bulk he acquired and can he get and stay match fit? If the answer to these is yes then we have a defensive midfielder who we know can perform at this level and higher. If not, then get him off the books pronto and get someone in who can do the job.
Would he be any better than Whitts in a 4 man midfield? He can hold the ball, but only if the other 10 are on the same page. Don't see him fitting Slade's style (whatever it is!). Slade (or A N Other) needs to pick a game plan (hopefully aligned to the 21st Century) and sign players to fit that game plan. At present I have no idea what Slade (or Ole before him) were / is trying to achieve.
That is just typical summer football gibberish and nonsense overheard in the pub, or these days read over twitter. He is just the sort of player City do not need. City need a dominant central midfield general in the mould of Kavanagh or Paul Ramsey, not some pint sized will of the wisp.
Britton is at the end of his career, and probably deserves some kind of role at the Swans on retirement.
Somehow, I couldn't see him being a popular signing at CCS. A totally different kettle of fish to Andy Legg.
Is this g'day and goodbye KWJ: - http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-transfer-news-kenwyne-9416554
Saw that on the Rippa site earlier this morning Bluey and dismissed it for two reasons. Firstly, I've been watching a lot of Aussie "soccer" lately and if he went over there, Kenwyne would have to start running. They don't half shift the ball around between them and a statue wouldn't fit their game plan. Bothroyd is doing great at Iwata in Japan who play a similar style but he's using skills that Jones doesn't possess. Secondly, they're reporting that Kenwyne is getting the equivalent of $58,000 a week aussie money over here at Cardiff and that's way out of their league unless he goes for the "footballing experience" rather than cash..............my arse!!
