If we'd finalised the deal already, it would have been announced, we wouldn't wait for international clearance. I doubt there's a major issue, but I'm sure we'll announce it the minute it's all agreed, the clearance is simply paperwork.

It would take Michael Dawson, a brick wall and a swarm of bees to remotely help Sunderland. Sunderland need to get relegated because they walk the fine tightrope every year and then don't learn from their lessons every year. Easily one of the most depressing teams in recent Premier League history. I'm sure even many Sunderland fans would agree. There are hardly any players I would genuinely want from Sunderland and that's even at Championship level.
