Hennessey's the one that I'd like to see in, good quality keeper with plenty of experience, and currently third choice at Palace.
All this talk of McGregor been a good 'shot stopper'? Is he though? He gets beaten from long range an awful lot and looks flat footed the majority of the time to me. We should of signed a decent keeper start of last year. Whats that fella from Millwall doing? Forde is it? Or is he about 76?
McGregor is an excellent reaction save keeper. Unfortunately he has absolutely **** all else in his locker. If he has to think about a shot, he's ****ed
He seems to have sorted his long range blunders out this season, he hasn't conceded one for a fair while now. It's the other bits of his game he's struggling with. If Bentley proves to be too expensive at £2m (sigh), then maybe a cheeky bid for Lindegaard at Man U?
That wasn't a long range shot though, I think he was referring to the odd amount of free kicks and long range shots that he seems to concede. And I just remembered Cairney put one past him in the Fulham game. Gay.
He has made more penalty saves than free kicks, I still think he should have saved to free kick in the final at Wembley by Cazorla
I was told Monday or Tuesday as his medical was Monday morning, so as usual there's probably been some kind of cock up. We've probably gone back to Chicago Fire and changed the offer to 20k up front and 5p a month installments.
i'd have thought the most likely scenario with the keepers is that Bruce will save the money on a transfer fee for other areas and get someone in on loan, there will be plenty of options in the loan market and it negates the risk of signing someone for 1-2M, realising after a while that they are ****e and being stuck with them. Let's face it we went pretty much 3 years in the championship last time without a first choice keeps of our own and it didn't do us any ill favours, plus if the loan keeps we get did turn out ****, we send em back and stick McG back in nets
How much would Tony Norman go for in todays transfer market. He is without doubt the best keeper I have seen since watching City.
Bruce will hope he goes now, probably got someone lined up, or he would have kept him on rehab for a week.
