In a 4-3-3 (these days actually an attacking 4-5-1) you'd have 3 centre mids, 2 wingers and a striker.
What on earth are you gibbering on about? Follower? I don't follow anyone, it's a forum. As for your employment history/age or whatever - I don't actually care. You responded quoting one of my posts initially making some accusation or other. You're the bully/stalker by any definition. Not very good at it either. I have had a few disagreements, with one or two posters, that is all, and it takes two people equally willing to participate in an argument for it to continue. Go on champ, stick at it. I know at the age of 70 - having no friends and waiting for 'responses' on a forum, a letter or bill from anyone or a call from your carer/meal provider can at times seem like Christmas for you can't it? I suggest you go and find something better to do with your time, you're into the final stretch of life and frankly the only person looking bad out of all of this is you. The only person you have 'liking' your posts is our resident homophobe 1moreagain. You contribute nothing of football interest or note. I'm not sure why you have latched onto a football forum? You don't know much about football and you don't post anything football related. You just post absolute nonsense.
how is a player "intangible"? is it because you can't touch them anymore on the field? the first question was serious..
When they are out wide flanking a striker on the wings. Guess I've seen the wings as the wide area in the final third, not the wide area all up and down the pitch. Different perspective.
BBC Humberside Sport @HumbersideSport #hcafc have agreed a fee with Chicago Fire for Shaun Maloney who's flying over from the U.S. this afternoon for a medical on Monday. BBC Humberside Sport @HumbersideSport #hcafc boss Steve Bruce says it's not his decision whether they revisit the prospect of trying to sign Brentford's Andre Gray.
The player's contract is the intangible asset I believe. Though with my classification of wingers I may well be wrong on this too.
People are only going to be in the final third at certain phases of play. Full backs may be there sometimes.
Sure but that's like saying Strikers will sometimes be in our box so they could be considered defenders some of the time. The predominant aim of the forward three players is to hang around the final third. Anyway, I'm wrong, I've explained where I was mistaken, it's fine.
So back to my original point then.. if Maloney is being brought in to play on a wing, that displaces either Clucas or Odubajo I would assume.. or are we going to play a diamond midfield with him as an attacking midfielder and Huddlestone or Meyler to sit deep?
Odubaju is currently playing right back, so it's not going to affect him. Maloney is a far better option than Clucas, at least from what we've seen so far, he can also play more centrally if required.
Odubajo is being played as an attacking full back. I dont think we can limit the team to 11 players and a few bit part players. We need options for different styles of play and different abilities - not to mention transfers, suspensions, injuries and lack of ability.
Well it will affect Odubajo if Bruce isn't going to drop Elmo, thought that part of my assumption was pretty safe. I guess Clucas drops to the bench then. 2.8m spent on the same position seems a bit odd when we're squabbling over 500k for a decent striker and are trying to muster funds for a keeper.
